Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

MetalCup Forgive me, but English is my second language and I am afraid my vocabulary lacks the necessary swear and curse words to describe such a movie accurately. I remember a riddle when I was a kid.. What animal has four legs, very fast and people ride it and race with it. Starts with an H and It also has 2 wings.OF course there is no answer... But its a very good puzzle.It is easy to make up crap for a story when you do not have to worry about the ending. How will you end it Mr. director? I will just cut to black and will not explain anything.Eh that is so irresponsible for a movie maker. I watch a movie with respect and I invest myself in it. Ending it with a lazy ending like that.And whats with the editing? Some scenes are way too short and some are too long. Some scenes are connected together with nothing. Its like surfing channels.I saw this movie because some critic gave it a good review... I should've known that pretentious f*** would like crap that doesn't make sense because he can pretend he understand it when in actuality no one understands it because its a bad bad movie.Save your time. I gave 2 stars just for the acting. Otherwise a big round zero.

peterrichboy I really loved Ben Wheatley Sightseers, it rates as one of the best black comedies of all time. And I love the fact that so many people don't get the fact it's a black comedy. But Killl List is not a Black Comedy and I wish it was because sadly it doesn't work on any level. It starts off with two Tarrentino style hit men killing bad people on a list for money. This is done with extreme violence and with such ease it makes you wonder if the police force even exists. We then come to the final act which sees our two heroes stumble across some sort of Wickerman cult ceremony in the grounds of an MPs estate? Without giving to much away what follows is extremely violent bloody and very unpleasant and if I'm honest made no sense whatsoever. A real shame because what had lead to this point had been quite enjoyable. Maybe one day someone out there can explain to me what the film was about. My advice watch Sightseers.

rorymorris1 There are nuances only the uk/irish audience will appreciate in this movie however I think it still has an intensity that will resonate with most audiences. This movie is in two parts, two different parts but equally intense and with a twist that will not fail to surprise unless you've seen the trailer It will appeal to the type of person who likes crime movies and mystery movies I loved it .. hope you do to

Tony Hall Kill List transcendes genres as we follow the troubled, warped minds of two men with a list. At times a drama with dark comedy elements the film descends into an all out horror and madness fest.Jay is our central figure - seemingly a troubled, ex-military man, who is struggling to maintain a normal family life as his marriage unravels and more frequent arguments with his wife occur.His behaviour, as well as his wife's, switch on a coin flip from subdued and measured to frantically psychotic and erratic. This bipolar nature keeps the audience guessing as to what these characters are really capable of. Their son is one of the few central characters in the film who brings a degree of normality and grounding to an otherwise turbulent environment, this works well in providing a counter- balance to demonstrate just how mad his parents really are – poor kid.We are teased in the beginning stages of the film that Jay has a dark past, and one specific job in Kiev went horribly wrong due to his actions. An old acquaintance, Gal, who was with Jay in Kiev, tries to convince him to return to their previous line of work for one last big pay-out, from a very wealthy, influential client. It all sounds simple enough, but all is not what it seems. As the duo travel across country, the film dives into Jay's motivations and his nature is laid bare to the audience - we see how even one of his closest companions, Gal, who knows him as well as anyone, and is himself hardly a saint, begins to question his sanity.The horror aspects are especially well realised in the final act where the tension is ratcheted up through the careful use of darkness and light, realistic gore, close cinematography and a tense soundtrack.The conclusion doesn't relent in laying bare the pure horror of Jay's actions, however we are left questioning the exact nature of the client's background and his motivations. Although the film does not end on a cliff-hanger, it takes an interesting twist. I couldn't help feeling like a short epilogue or a brief speech from the client providing some context would have been more satisfying than leaving questions unanswered.Overall the effective characterisation of Jay and the gradually increasing tension throughout the short 90 minute stint makes this a film well worth watching.
