GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
dc530 I found this movie to be pretty damn good considering it's so late in Jean-Claude Van Damme's career but he played a part perfectly don't expect it to be an Oscar but it's pretty damn funny
adonis98-743-186503 A company retreat on a tropical island goes terribly awry. Welcome to the Jungle is for sure silly of course but it never looked on becoming an Oscar Worthy film right? Jean Claude Van Damme was pretty good but don't expect to see him for the whole ride tho but he does a pretty good job and the same goes for the rest of the cast as well. If you like comedies that take place in the jungle or some giant island? You're definitely going to enjoy this and believe me the best part of the entire movie was easily Jean Claude Van Damme for sure and his screams. (7/10)
Prismark10 This is Tropic Thunder meets Lord of the Flies but its an unfunny action comedy. An office team building retreat for workers from marketing agency on a tropical island goes terribly wrong when the pilot dies and the team leader gets attacked by a tiger. One of the slimy Ad Executive with his lackeys starts behaving like Kurtz from Apocalypse Now and its up to put upon nice guy Adam Brody to bring some sanity while others run amok with the aid of hallucinogenic plants.Jean Claude Van Damme plays the rather spaced out Storm, the organiser and team leader. He gets to do some light comedy and is adequate.Brody is fine as the only member of the group who has survivalist techniques but the film is a bad parody of movies like Lord of the Flies. It has a weak script, weak characterisation and not funny.
kosmasp Let's put van Damme in the Jungle, pair him with Adam Brody and some other comedians and see what happens. That seems to be the motto of the movie. But while that might not sound that appealing, I thought it worked. Not always, see also some of the awkward lines van Damme has to deliver, but often enough. The movie is more than predictable, you can outright guess when what is coming and who will be getting what (or whom). But that is not the point. And while there is a journey, it's the isolation of the Jungle and the characters (used to work in offices), that make this movie funny. Is there potential for more? Sure! But that doesn't mean this is a bad movie. It's just a inferior one to what some might have expected ... still funny though
