2hotFeature one of my absolute favorites!
    Ploydsge just watch it!
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
    G. Contract SOUTHERN CHARM: While channel surfing, I came upon this series and it grabbed my attention and I decided to watch the show. In this particular episode, they were having a polo game at one of the plantation estates. I noticed that all of the shows casts were Caucasians,(at least in this episode). However, I was shocked that they showed the individuals (who had no speaking roles), who were there to serve food and drinks at the plantation to be black. I found this to be both shocking and somewhat racist to see this depicted in such a modern day/current TV show. I could totally understand if it were something reflecting back in the 1800's, but no, this is what they are showing as South Carolina's depiction of "Southern Charm" Very sad and disappointing, I will never watch this show again!
rutledge3512 Take away the melodrama.. and you actually get a somewhat realistic view of what its like to be single (or not married) in Charleston.... Maybe more accurately what its like to live in Charleston in the Summer... Excluding the 50 something popping out kids with a girl in her early 20s.Although there is certainly more drama than one would typically have in daily life, much of the drama actually seems fairly authentic- even if over the top.Its a Bravo show, so I guess it has to be graded on a curve... But it seems to have a pretty high production value all things considered (actually I've never watched another Bravo series- but I have a general impression of what the housewives series are probably like). Most of the cast members are pretty normal for Charleston (with a few exceptions...ie Whitney's mom, who is at least entertaining), which highlights that if you were to edit and produce a show of most people's lives...you could make it seem more dramatic and exciting than reality).Overall, Much better than I would've guessed. One bone to pick- the theme song is misplaced... this takes place in Charleston/ Not New Orleans (which is very different).
emmacairn I gave it a 3 because I like a couple of the women on the show. Why can't what's his name take the bar? Because he can't pass it, he's not prepared. Modeling?? Seriously, Gabriel Aubry you're not. Don't leave your day job. Your buddies won't pick up your bar tabs forever.Kathryn is a sweetheart who has a long road ahead of her as a single mom. Thomas treats her really poorly. He is a self possessed, left over party boy whose looks are shot to --it. He's aged out of the party circuit, it just hasn't dawned on him yet. A momma's boy possibly?Whitney, another creepy wash up. Educated though, I'll give him that. He does have the snob factor in place. It's fairly obvious where that comes from, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Good thing momma has plenty of dough.I'll take a pass on the next season if there is one.
sarahcoletxex01 Love, love, love, this show, just like the other reviewer! Even my boyfriend loves it. It was so refreshing to see a reality show produced and put out that was actually was worth watching. This show was actually entertaining, not just a bunch of housewives/women bickering back and forth. I fell in love with the characters and anyone that gives this series a chance will too. The cast was GREAT, the show had class...thank god BRAVO gave it a Season 2!!!! We have been waiting for this:)Can't wait too watch...
