Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Bessie Smyth Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
melissamarshall-38133 This is a pretty good spy thriller and Anna Torv is excellent in it. I do wish they had cast a transgendered woman as the transgendered character and not made her story quite so cliched. I know this is a few years old so the memo about Trans casting hadn't arrived down under, but someone like Jamie Clayton would have nailed the character of Kim. Still, I will probably watch the second season on the strength of Anna Torv's work here. It's also fun as an American to watch a spy thriller that centers around Austrailia and China rather than the UK or Russia and the US.
gwen-27 An above average conspiracy series, with a good plot and genuine characters. Good to see a main female role that neither requires super powers or martial arts to undercover secrets and lies. Looking forward to the second series.
mailazu All the ethnic minorities are so subservient living their lives at the beck and call of their white masters. The plot is unrealistic, too many holes, for instance, how can a journalist walk right up to the prime ministers office and be able to stand right outside and eavesdrop, the chines ambassador giving a press conference but the flags behind him are all Australian. I think this drama was written as a feel good for Australians to feel relevant on the world stage.
Movielover Truth This was a decent show with good cadence. Harriet was a good part for Anna Torv to play. It was refreshing to watch a show where you could not guess what was coming. The plot takes some interesting turns, too. Herriman proved his versatility again. Pretty good cast, pretty good writing.I marked off two stars for some of the intrinsic bias of the writers, but overall a good show. Binge-worthy.
