Zeeshan Mahmud And so is the entire production team behind it.Of course subplots within subplots - such as baiting in the cell phone store, such as little nuanced details of a man being flogged in Ogiya Prison in opening credits, the solid character development to the length of even side actors, the touch of Tuareg ability to navigate in desert from birds, giving strength to the personality of Middle-Eastern actors as well as transcending beyond good vs evil to fully showcase the terrorists' mindset with the dialogue "you are negotiating still" during breakout for a fantastic reference to game theoretic prisoner's dilemma and of course the signature touch and tour de force of cryptography... I can go on and on, and yes it does really shoot he ball out of the park.Every scene holds your attention. There are twists within twists, plots within subplots and turnovers and turnaround in scenes. And yes, who can forget the intellect? At first I thought, a reboot would suck, but I was wrong. Finished the whole season 5 in a sitting. That's how good it was and it does really stimulate creativity.Who needs caffeine for dopamine when you got this, right? :wink:

askeland89 If this review was based on the first season alone I would have given it a 10/10, but thats just not the case here. I gave up this show halfway through season 4 because I lost all interest. I simply did not care how it would end. Yet for some weird reason I can't explain, I actually brought myself to finish it about a week ago, including season 5 ( The sequel ). They had a lot of time to write a decent script for the sequel, and maybe hire a passionate production team.. But no, it follows the same worthless formula as the 4th season. With ridiculous and way over the top plotlines that very well could have been written by a 10 year old. Hands down the worst thing to ever happen to television. It had a great premise that it refused to live up to. Shame on the producers, shame!

Shweta Mayekar I feel like apologising to the world in general for not watching this earlier. This TV Series is epic and one of a kind. The first season is some of the greatest TV I have seen. The plot keeps you hooked and engrossed episode after episode. Shout out to to some of best supporting cast I have ever seen: Robert Knepper and William Fichtner. With actors whose characters written out so deeply and so negatively and just so positively dastardly, it takes great skill to make the audience like the baddies. This is a great TV series, four seasons of some of the best television ever.
