Young urban couple Ed and Sarah are set to begin a new life when they move from London into an isolated borders Scottish farmhouse. After falling in love with the 19th century Castle Farm and seeing its potential as a fixer-upper they are anxious to get started on the renovations. In bed on their first night Sarah thinks she can hear noises in the darkness but Ed is disbelieving saying it’s her imagination playing tricks. Persisting in her fear they are not alone in the house, she forces Ed to investigate. When he doesn’t return after a scarily long period, she goes downstairs to investigate only to be confronted by a welcoming committee of masked intruders. As she desperately searches for Ed, a terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues with the mysterious assailants. But what do they want and what horrors do they have planned for the two newcomers?

Reviews
Majorthebys Charming and brutal
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
Walter Sloane Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
silver-41184 Reasonably interesting at first.becomes predictable.dies at the death. bizzare, and underwhelming ending.unlikable characters. some fun moments...mostly when the end credits role. I won't waste anymore time with this as its already had nearly 2 hours of my life :). Too add....Many people are reviewing this movie as "racist" It is not...... it's a MOVIE.... A MOVIE. ffs.
kirkieboy666 This has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen, it is completely pointless and the ending is abysmal. The whole context of the story makes absolutely no sense and there is no explanation of why any of it is happening. If I could I would have given this movie 0 out of 10, nothing redeeming about it and I'd strong suggest stating away from this xenophobic nonsense.
bfslamin This storyline was pretty good until someone dropped the pencil at the end. This typical "home invasion" story did stand out in regards to the fundamentals of why it occurred. I just wanted a little more UMPH upon its end. It did, however, deliver a historical message which I appreciate. I don't reccomend watching it, just google the story, you won't miss anything.
errorllc Nothing and I mean nothing is good about this film. From start to finish this is bad just awful. The acting is atrocious, the action or fight scenes are less believable then wwf fighting. And to put the cherry on the crap pie. The ending makes absolutely no sense. They bought the house do the kidnappers think they're just gonna go oh well they don't want us there let's just abandon are 100k+ home and pretend we didn't buy it. And we'll never tell any police at all, within one day these capters would be arrested and put in prison easily. Do not waste your time.
