Reviews
Inclubabu Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
SincereFinest disgusting, overrated, pointless
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
ozlem_trejo The last time I saw this movie was 33 years ago when I was 7yrs old in Ankara, Turkey. I remember loving Zeynep Degirmencioglu who I only knew as Aysecik back then and thought she was gorgeous. I adored her so much and wanted to be just like her :)) I remember coming home from the movie and asking my mum and dad if I was as pretty as her and I must have bugged them so much that at the end they said that I wasn't and I started sobbing uncontrollably, he he! But I do have fond memories of all the Aysecik and Yumurcak movies. I remember Afacan also - I wonder what became of him?!?! Does anyone have any photos of Zeynep Degirmencioglu - I have looked everywhere on IDMB and everywhere else on the net and could not find anything. If you have any photos, please email them to me. Thanks.
kozyazici I have seen this film many times. When there is a religious or national holiday, this film plays on TV. This film is very bad. The players, direction, everything is very bad. This can only be a film for children. Very bad example for Turkish cinema. Zeynep Deðirmencioðlu (known as Aysecik in Turkey) played very bad in this film. She was better in her first films when she was about 5-6 years old. When she grew up, she began to play roles of 'good girl'. The films she played generally is about 'how she is like an angel, how she is pure etc.' This film, although its known subject, was different from the novel. It was adapted to Turkish character. However, the film, and the players were very bad.
Arianrhod_B The story is Snow White's story, as we all know, a tale for the children. When it comes to tale adaptations, the production companies aim mostly the young audience. However, this movie is an exception. I think what the director, Ertem Gorec, did was to create a realistic tale with phenomenal actors of his time. The Snow White is played by beautiful Zeynep Degirmencioglu, that time's most popular young star, a singer and an actress. Most of her roles are stereotypes like in other tales, such as Cindrella or Pollyanna. To create a plot which is true to the tale but also aiming at a more mature audience, the director brings sort of a real background to the story with this actress. Her performance is adorable! It's like as if we could come across to that sweet creature in the forest. In addition, this is a musical movie and it takes place in the city Antalya and there are some nice views in the film like the waterfall Duden. There is also another phenomenal actress, Belgin Doruk, who's died at a very young age who is playing snow White's mother, the queen, but she only appears for few minutes. The director's choice in casting the dwarfs is excellent, they look so real(they are real short men). The actress, Suna Selen is considerably convincing in her role of the queen-witch. And also the make up is very successful even though it's 70s.. This film is one of the nicest memories of my childhood and I watched for several times, again and again because of it's very genuine.
