Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Furiosity06 Now I am a big revhead. I always have been, and I love a good car movie. Especially racing movies but The Fast and the Furious series didn't really satisfy me. I'm not for a moment going to suggest that Redline is better than FnF because it's not. But I personally was never into the whole Import scene. My favourite car of the entire movie was the 69 Charger. What's more a week after that film came out, every teenager with a FWD Honda or Mitsubushi blew their entire bank accounts on trying to make their cars look better and failed, dismally.I enjoyed watching Redline because it reminds me of the Need for Speed video game series. NFS was all about driving the finest driving machines on the planet to the very limit of speed (on the track and off) but the Underground came along with the whole 'Urban exotic' idea and let all of the Supercar fans down.I think this film could've been the film adaption of Need for Speed and been a lot more successful. But since that isn't the case I'll simply conclude with this. This is not a film for serious film buffs. This one is for the revheads (or gearheads or petrol heads or whatever they call them in the country that you're reading this) who just want something to watch of a Saturday night. It's just something you can sit back and switch your brain off to with some explosions, fistfights, no real story and some of the finest cars of today raced (and crashed) then Redline is an alright choice.
Jan Strydom Redline is not the worst movie you will ever see, in fact believe it or not, there are worse movies out there and I can name a few.1. HUNTING SEASON, a low budget movie that displays a level of stupidity Redline doesn't come close to, and with acting that is beyond the worst you'll ever see.2. THE CAVERN, a horror film that has a director who thinks shaking the camera makes the movie scary each time the monster jumps out, but it only gives you a headache and you can't see what goes on half the time because more than half of the scenes are too dark.3. FIVE ACROSS THE EYES, another low budget movie that shows pure stupidity, it features a group women returning home from a football game and soon find themselves being chased by a shotgun carrying maniac, and during these chase scenes the only thing these girls know what to do is scream, argue, slap each other in the face, and puke coffee, and to top it off the shotgun freak you can easily tell is a woman, but is referred to as a guy.If I consider these titles I just pointed out, Redline I can guarantee is not the worst movie on the planet, granted it has its flaws, but so do a lot of other films, including some of the big names, and I'll bet you will find possibly one or two films, with similar flaws as this one and they'll have better ratings, and one thing I would like to point out, this film does not have as many plot holes as I thought, but you do need to pay attention though, and the acting wasn't that bad either, the better performances are given by Nathan Phillips who shows more emotions in his scenes, and Nadia Bjorlin who is possibly the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and reminds me of a girl I haven't seen in years and miss very much, and does play role really well. So, love it or hate it, like I said its not the worst.5 out of 10
eddietude-1 What do you get when you combine horrible acting, a stupid plot, and atrocious camera work? The movie "REDLINE".This film was so bad it was painful to watch. The only reason I gave it a "1" was because the numbers didn't go any lower. The lead actress is hot, which is nice, but casting needs to learn to hire hot actresses that can ACT. Ditto for the rest of the cast. And the script? Puhleese! Could it have been any more stupid? You've got gorgeous fast cars, a hot actress, so I guess they decided a script wasn't important. The irony is, with a little bit of work on the plot line and the dialogue, this could have been decent. OK, a LOT of work. Still, if you're going to spend millions on a movie, how about spending a few dollars on the script? The camera work was a joke. Clearly the cars are NOT going fast, and the angles did not create suspension or excitement. The "jiggly camera" and fast cut editing can save some parts of a film, but not ALL of it! This is what happens when rich people decide to make a movie using their own cars and girlfriends, and they ignore the advice of seasoned film makers.Either that or everyone who contributed on this project in a creative fashion needs to go back to film school.Don't waste your time. You'll finish the movie and regret that you'll never get those 90 minutes of your life back. That time could be better spent doing something else... like sleeping, or going to the bathroom.
ss97-1 OK first off I generally like any type of car movie. I mean I actually liked Fast and the Furious enough to sit through it without wanting to turn it off.....even the Too Fast sequel was good enough to watch. But this movie was just.........bad.....Not only is it totally implausible that people are street racing $250,000 cars. Rare cars like the Ford GT and Shelby Cobra that no one is racing...cars that no one would race in a street race no matter how rich the stakes were. It is just not believable......Then there is the $3-million stakes being tossed down which is also just too unreal to believe.....Now it must be said that Natalie Bjorlin is so striking, and so fetching in this movie that you cannot look away. She just exudes beauty and sexiness beyond the scope of this movie and is in fact the ONLY reason we kept watching it.The rest of the cast is horrible..... Eddie Griffin tries to crack some jokes and play a high roller but while he acts it fine, the whole image seems forced....but beyond that everyone is rough.....even the random scantily clad hotties all over the movie are not enough.....The plot is lame, the character development is nil and the entire movie seems random and pointless.....random fights happen and car chases follow so $250,000 cars can be wrecked the whole time.....The bad guys are so moronic, they have no reason to be bad, they just are......unless you are in love with Natalie Bjorlin, there is not one reason to watch this movie..... and even that, as hot as she is, it really not enough to watch it with any real interest....
