Breakinger A Brilliant Conflict
Hulkeasexo it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
wantitall78 I have just seen this movie and i just wanna say that it is awesome. The chemistry between Locklear and Buckley are amazing, it's funny sexy and most importantly, it challenges the view society has built regarding single women over 35.Pretty early in the movie you find out that Locklears ex-husband Daniel has a new girlfriend; he is 42 and she only 28. I'm pretty sure that none of you raised an eyebrow; i mean there's nothing wrong to have some "lamb-meat" if you are a guy. In that case you are hip cool, and you get tons of respect from your pals. If this would be let's say an older woman and a young hot guy, then the woman has some sort of midlife crisis, she's s bad mother, irresponsible; running around with her boy toy. It's obvious that her friends are happy that she's moving on, but they also gives her; as they call it " friendly advise".I am in my mid thirties and i am not accepting the fact that men are allowed to act different than a woman when it comes to sex and relationships and neither should you. This movie has everything and i have been smiling for about an hour now, and it doesn't get any better than looking at Buckleys sun-tanned hot body and gorgeous smile.
Bjorn Vu I accidentally turned the TV to star movies and started watching this movie just because I live in Hawaii and I saw Diamond head, which I personally found the only true thing about Oahu in this movie. This movie must have been written based on a novel of an author who found herself a lot unattractive and rewarded herself with such a fantasy. The main character is too old and her acting sucks. Anyone who still thinks this stupid movie is true, go to Hawaii and you are welcome to stay with me for free if you could find such a surfer on the beach. Oh, and skip the broke ones too, if you're better looking than that cougar, i'm sure you can find a great 6 packed lad with buckets of money too. Come on, we are not 13 year-old teenagers to believe in such things. Get real!
TxMike Heather Locklear and I go way back, to about 1986. No, we have never met, but I recall having a poster of her on my cubicle wall at work back then. She was a 20-something starlet, promoting some sort of fitness business, I forget which. But I never forgot Heather. In fact my wife and I have a running joke, if Heather Locklear ever shows up at my front door, asking for me, then I have permission to run off with her!I suppose with a not-so-hidden vanity motive on her part, Heather Locklear, who is rapidly approaching 50, plays Jackie Laurens, about to turn 40, in this TV movie. She is divorced, with children, and a successful decorator in Denver. But she has no man in her life. To take away the sting of turning 40, her best friend presents her with two tickets and hotel reservations to Hawaii, for both of them to go and enjoy the vacation, and do whatever single women do there.Vanessa Williams as Kristine is her friend, but as they meet up in the airport terminal Kristine tells her of a family emergency, she can't go, but Jackie is to go ahead and enjoy the trip. She sets out alone. After being hit upon rather quickly by an orthodontist at a conference, she is rescued by Robert Buckley as Kyle Hamilton who recognizes what is going on. He is a 27 year old beach bum and surfer instructor, which Jackie immediately recognizes is way too young for her. But she cannot resist his charms and they hook up anyway.Thinking this was just to be a one-nighter Jackie is surprised when Kyle shows up over and over, and they begin a very improbable relationship. He doesn't seem to be bothered at all by their age differences. The movie isn't great and the acting is just adequate, but I enjoyed it for Heather Locklear. I don't even mind that she played a character almost 10 years younger than her real age. She looks pretty good for almost 50!
anitaa_in Since I has nothing else, I started watching this movie...I planned to watch it only for 10 mins, but it became quite interesting and I had to watch the end before I sleep...till the end I was not sure how this would end, though I has a slight feeling that it might end like this.. ... I could clearly see how much trouble/complications it would be to have hawaii lover and 2 kids back at Denver... this is a nice, slow, pleasant movie to watch and feel good. I just loved the hawaii lover, though he looked young for the heroine...:-( And the 2 kids are good too...The hawaii scenes could have been better, I mean they could have shown more hawaii stuff & places. If it comes on TV, try to watch...U may like it :-)
