GL84 After being contaminated by a viral outbreak, a group of passengers on a commercial jet-plane find themselves quarantined at a local airport terminal and must fight to stay alive against the infected passengers and crew running loose in the building.Overall this one here was quite entertaining and a worthwhile sequel. What really gets this one going along nicely is the fact that there's a strong sense of true urgency and panic here as this one really runs with its central concept quite nicely in terms of getting the virus up and on-screen early on here to keep this moving forward. The early outbreak on the plane as the slowly-changing passenger that begins tearing through the plane, offering the first hints something's really wrong here, to the take-down and eventual settling in for their landing at the abandoned terminal gives this a strong set-up that ranges from quite creepy to action-packed rather nicely. Carrying that panic and confusion over into the exit and subsequent realization they're trapped in the terminal, this manages to get a lot of good parts out of the rather chilling situation and manages to give the feeling quite nicely here as the gradual dawning from how they're going to get infected next makes for a really fun time here with this one getting the action-packed confrontations throughout this section. The initial attack on the gangway out of the plane, a further confrontation in the bowels of the plane when they sneak back inside to grab some tools for survival where the infected crew-members begin stalking them and a strong ambush back in the loading dock where the team has to over-power the infected coming at them gives this some really strong action scenes that are a great deal of fun following up the earlier scenes here, and once the containment team arrives this one really picks up considerably. There's a lot to like here as the initial inspection reveals the true manner of infection and the resulting race to get out alive from the building as they overpower and eventually chase them through the levels and storage places in the facility gives this a really enjoyable burst of energy mixed with the thrilling race of trying to escape from them, and when followed up by the grand escape plan that wipes out the remaining members of the group it's even more fun. Along with the rather fine gore here, these here give this a lot to like over its few small problem areas. The biggest issue here is in detailing how the virus ever left the city, as supposedly showing the newscast of the siege from the original to signify they're occurring at the same time means that there's no way to know that same virus had left and is now on the plane, since the agents who bring that up do so in the middle of the movie when there hadn't even been enough time to sift through the wreckage left behind in the original to discover it and pass it along to them to spill out here. This sort of timeline-altering doesn't make any sense and really makes it seem like a total coincidence rather than anything actually done on their part to investigate it. The other big issue here is the recurrence of the found-footage scenes for the entire finale crawl through the heating duct but yet does nothing with it since there's never a chance to do anything but show him looking back over his shoulder, and it's a wasted opportunity merely to capitalize on the original's gimmick. Otherwise, this one was quite fun and enjoyable.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, children-in-jeopardy and violence-against-animals.

Disemboweled_Carcass This was surprisingly good movie, the intense fright scenes were awesome.I know a good horror movie when I see one, and this movie was far better than most out there.I've been on a binge of watching low budget silly horror movies lately. For the past week and a half I've been looking at cover art to see if it looks inviting and then submitting myself to horrible acting, bad screen play and stupid plot twists but whatever.I thought, Quarantine, well the remake make was pretty decent, so Id try the sequel. Oh and who cares that it didn't follow the original REC2. This is QUARANTINE, NOT REC2. Chill out.I started watching this movie expecting it to be another stupid silly roll your eyes horror flick but was quite surprised how good it was. I especially loved the jump scare scenes.As I was watching it I was asking myself, when is it gonna be getting bad, OK any minute it will start to get bad but it didn't happen. Movie generally kept its promise to scare you. The kid annoyed me but thats OK, there's always some stupid character in every movie.So stop bitching at everything. Keyboard commandos. You make a movie and put it out.

loomis78-815-989034 This sequel picks up on the same night that the original takes place; a plane departing Los Angeles isn't airborne long when the infection breakout happens on the plane. It is forced to land and a group of passengers fight off infected passengers as they are isolated and cut off by the military in a terminal. They quickly understand that help isn't coming and the infected dead try to viciously kill the living. This simple idea is stretched from the first film into this one and sets it in a airport terminal instead of an apartment building. Fortunately we have a group of survivors we can root for and Writer/Director John G. Pogue makes this movie tense and truly scary. The movie also benefits from moving away from the shaky camera style the first film used. Plenty of blood and jump scares pack this surprising sequel that is a worthy follow up to the original.

Uriah43 Although the original film was a direct reproduction of the Spanish movie "Rec" this picture is not a clone of its sequel "Rec2". This film essentially starts on the same night the building is being quarantined in Los Angeles to a flight that is outbound from there to Kansas City. At first, other than a few people with symptoms of a cold or the flu nothing is out of the ordinary. However, "Co-Pilot Willsey" (Andrew Benator) does mention to two of the stewardesses, "Paula" (Bre Blair) and "Jenny" (Mercedes Masohn) that animals in his neighborhood have been acting rather strange lately. Then one of the passengers is bitten by a hamster. Not long afterward things begin to happen very dramatically. That same passenger gets violently ill, goes berserk and tries to force his way into the cockpit before being subdued. This causes the pilot, "Captain Forrest" (John Curran) to make an emergency landing at another airport. Once there the passengers and crew find themselves locked inside the baggage loading section underneath the terminal with no way out and a virus which is turning the passengers into raging maniacs. At any rate, rather than summarize the entire movie I will just say that this film was almost as good as the original. It has plenty of action and gore which should satisfy viewers looking for those kind of things. The acting is straight-forward and the story moves along rather well. And even though some people may argue over the technicalities of whether this is a zombie movie or not, it's still worth a view for those who enjoy that specific genre.
