Life on the Line Trailers

As a huge electrical storm sweeps towards Texas, lineman Beau Ginner is haunted by memories of his brother's death by lightning years earlier. Since that tragic day, he has raised his niece Bailey and risen to foreman of a lineman team. However, there is friction when Bailey's on-off boyfriend Duncan joins the crew, while another new recruit is hiding PTSD symptoms. Beau and his team are soon putting their lives at risk in a race to replace miles of power cables to keep the electrical grid running before the deadly lightning storm strikes. Based on a true story; this film is a tribute to the heroes who risk it all to keep us safe.

Reviews
Brightlyme i know i wasted 90 mins of my life.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
airbornedarling Travolta needs to do scruffy more often, this was a good look for him. Sharon stone was brave without makeup and she looked younger than in some of her other movies so kudos to her. This was a good movie and I don't know anything about linemen, so I don't know how accurate it was. But there was too much drama and not enough about the story of the job. Good to watch once on a boring Tuesday night.
geonetsa While it may or may not have been factual, seeing it for an entertaining movie, had it's merits.
BrinaCary I liked it overall due to the lovely acting that really sealed home the emotional key points in most cases. They did have some unresolved subplots though. There's quite a bit more that they could have done with the film; however, they kind of skipped it. It's like they were trying to tell one story, but told another just because of the lack of development with some of the major characters. One example is Bailey. Beau was responsible for the deaths of both her parents and she took it all in stride. It was like she was slightly vapid, which didn't fit since her life was the one on the line. She knew something was wrong when that jerk with the muscle car (Ron) was going into the lady's house; however, she just stood watching. No one in their right mind would assume that the lady was having an affair with the jerk if they had ever met him. Basically, when she followed the husband in the house was the first time she was like "oh, something might be going on here." She had a working cellphone. She should have called the police. It would have saved her from getting shot; however, it would have negated the end of the movie. The ending at the substation was amazing though. Not just because of the spectacularness of Beau's resolution. It was also because he was finally making up for his mistake at the beginning of the film. All in all, I would watch it again.
adonis98-743-186503 A crew of men who do the high-wire work of fixing the electrical grid are hit by a sudden deadly storm. I did read some of the reviews before i write one of my own for this film and i gotta say i do agree on certain stuff the movie does have way too much melodrama and some clichés as some reviewers pointed out also this whole story with this guy Eugene and his wife was totally forgettable and hurt the film a lot if you ask me and it tries to combine a lot of stuff together like humor or some fight sequences and it takes some time to actually get to the main plot of the film also my last complaint was Sharon Stone as Duncan's mother why was she in the film? She was pretty damn forgettable too. Now on the positive side of things some dramatic aspects of the film did work in my opinion and personally i liked John Travolta and Kate Bosworth they were the best part of the whole film and the acting wasn't that bad. It's a slow paced film indeed but it's definitely nowhere near as bad as some other films that Travolta has done this last few years for example Criminal Activities and let's not forget the famous 'Battlefield Earth' the worst Science Fiction film of all time so i find it a bit over reacting that some people actually gave this film so many 1/10 stars it's not the greatest film of all time but it's nowhere near as bad as i feared or thought it was going to be. (7/10)
