Reviews
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Nuekeee The movie is excellent as a functioning thriller that kept me reeled in like a fish on a hook until the end. I simply couldn't stop watching as one seemingly disconnected part of the plot seemed to automatically tie in with the next. Then I realized that I wanted to know more, and find out how the story would eventually end. The only thing I didn't like was that I wish that we would find out more about who the Sergey Crime family was and how why they betrayed Viktor as he was an invaluable asset to them. However for the most part the movie Interview with a Hit-man was a success. It describes a hit-man's life in an objective and clever way that does justice to all the characters and shows that a murderer will never change.
Julia Woodcock The movie Interview with a Hit-man is about a paid assassin named Viktor who happens to be the youngest killer ever hired to work for the local Russian crime family. Viktor starts killing for them at the age of thirteen. Therefore he becomes the youngest chief enforcer and killer working for the Sergey crime family. The movie is excellent in terms of delivering the story in a way that makes it flow. It hooked me in the moment I began watching it with a scene where Viktor points a gun at a young girl's head. This is later revealed to be the scene right after he makes his first shots and starts off his killing career.
James Sanchez The movie Interview with a Hit-man does many things well in terms of crime fiction. First of all it combines the idea that a killer is not just an instrument of death but a person with some natural human feeling hidden deep beneath the layers of hatred and evil. Viktor the young paid killer in the story becomes cold and cruel as a result of his circumstances rather than by choice. This doesn't dismiss the fact that he is still a killer, but it does make the audience sort of sympathize with him more. This is especially true when he decides to start changing in the second half of his life.
ksaclo It is about damn time, an underdog low budget movie is straight up done good. The storyline, good, the acting (for the most part) good, no over the top ridiculousness, very believable. Everybody's gripes about how the rating is to low is exactly right. This is a very good movie and can easily make my top 50. Not a lot of Hollywood, which makes this movie even better. Two thumbs way up. The worst part of the movie, is they tend to talk a little low so I had to turn on the subtitles and you have to pay attention to the names and who is who, because it jumps around a little in time. Other than that, it is a solid movie and deserves to have it's rating brought up to at least a 7. I would probably put it at 7.25.
