Aedonerre I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
Orla Zuniga It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
pokerface14 As someone who recently graduated high school, this movie really hit home for me. i'm literally watching it two days after graduating. the characters were over-the-top but still relatable. i really related with lucy hale's character wanting everything to stay the same and really fearing the future and just not knowing what you're doing. the drug usage added comedy to the mix and really made for a good movie. don't listen to the reviews telling you not to watch this, if you need a high school movie that's actually relatable, watch it and if you don't like it, just turn it off :)
jemkarma None of these characters were anything like I was in high school and yet this film felt 100% authentic to my high school experience. The film knew what it was and delivered upon what it set out to do. It was original and heart-felt, and deserves a far better rating than it has. That being said, Awkwafina and Alexandra Shipp's characters were a little sidelined, and I was a little uncomfortable with the teacher-student relationship subplot.
natashameyer222 My 5 star rating stems from my love of Lifetime Original Movies (shoutout to LMN!) because "Dude" features just about all of the Lifetime movie themes in a SINGLE movie! Plus this movie features better actors and the benefit of a bigger budget than a LIfetime movie. If you're like me and enjoy more than one lifetime movie than I recommend giving this movie a try.
fiannalb12999 I think that it was just a really good movie about the end of high school and going through change and realizing that change is a thing. if you're about to graduate, i think you'll kind of relate to lily
