Crwthod A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.
Megamind To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
ben_cornell Wow, that's bad. McDonald's does LOTRs. Clumisy rip off of LOTRs with a heavy dose of US teen romance. GOTs90210. Terrible charcter names and fantasy termimology. Lazy, unimaginative rubbish. Implausible anachronisms everywhere. Dreadful modern pop music overlaying badly scripted, unbelievable... I mean, why bother making something this bad? Surely someone somewhere along the way must have noticed how awful their production was and should have just ditched it. No redeeming features. Tolkien would puke knowing he had inspired such drivel.
cheryllefey The Elfstones of Shannara has been my favourite novel since I was 10 years old. I've waited 20 years for it to be adapted to TV or film. I've read the books of Terry Brooks all my life and have hailed him as one of the greatest fantasy writers of all time. And so this is my reaction to MTV's Shannara Chronicles...This is the Elfstones of Shannara IF it were based on the fan-fiction of a 14-year-old girl. The only character who remains true to the original novel is the dog.Let's ignore, for a moment, the disappointment of a fan of the books. Let's overlook the inaccuracies, the parts written in just for the sake of making social and political statements, the massive alterations to characters that were perfect in their original forms, and the insult to every fan of Terry Brooks that this series brings. As a series entirely unrelated to the books, it is terrible. The acting is embarrassingly amateur. The script is laughable. The effects are cheap and would impress only a child. The plot is confusing and pointless. A 14-year-old girl with a social justice blog and a Twilight obsession could not have created a more pathetic excuse for a television series.
wienke-38620 I guess I must have missed the Lesbian parts when I read these books as a kid. Why must homosexuality be force fed down our throats with every kids show these days?
darkmoondungen Beginning was real good, started to watch... Later teen soap opera with no common sense, logic, horrible...
