waipahu81 I like the show but I don't like that the unit or the female police officer seems to get all the credit for his help. When they start the new unit Toby ask if he can have a gun they waste no time in saying no. And they give him a desk like you would give a child, no respect is given to him and to be quite honest without him they would not be the best unit and have the money they are getting. In the episode the reckoning she get a award but when ask if Toby got one she gets offended and upset. Question for the writer or creator of this show, why make the characters of the unit he works with feel like they are the ones solving the crimes and he is just a helper. He should be recognized just like in the American TV Show the mentalist, the people he works with knows he is a big asset and lets everyone know he helps out.
ac_duquaine When the series first came out I was actually looking forward to it. While I don't believe it's possible for someone to read other people's minds, in and of itself I deemed it irrelevant and watched for the sheer entertainment value of it. Before the end of the season I was completely hooked, and was excited at the prospect of it being picked up for more seasons. But I waited a very long time because it was canceled from the one network - but finally got picked up by another - yay! I however, didn't find out about this until it had been back for a couple seasons so I had some ground to make up. Didn't bother me - I enjoyed the pursuit of catching up. I have missed some episodes tho - dunno when the one guy was replaced by Peter Stebbings, but I enjoyed the program even more. To say I was disappointed when he was taken off and the other guy put back in - that's putting it mildly. I haven't seen it since. I have recorded a couple since in hopes they brought him back, but deleted when I saw that other guy still there.
jess t I have read a few good reviews about the show, but I would have to say it is not very good. It seems to confuse the different "gifts" that he may have. From the beginning it seemed like he was only telepathic, then it seemed he had a couple more abilities than that. That is not my biggest problem though. To me, it is a very boring series that may try to copycat many others. Really, it's just boring. So many time i rolled my eyes. I have never made a review on this website before either. It seems as though they are very picky and critique everything you say. So I would say that a person's opinion does not seem to mean much anymore. Smile and bear it:)
ndmanners I just discovered this show recently. I live close to Toronto so it's great to see such an awesome show coming from my area. WOW, Craig Olejnik is sooo easy on the eyes! Usually I watch TV with one eye on the screen and one on my computer; Craig makes it impossible to do that! The story lines are well-written. Love the banter between Oz and Toby and the chemistry between Toby and Liv. The show really reminds me of "The Pretender" series, which I also loved. I hope they don't end this series for a long time and that they don't end it abruptly and without resolution like "The Pretender". Hope to see this show for many years to come!
