    Tockinit not horrible nor great
Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
    HeadlinesExotic Boring
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Kirpianuscus ...so different, neurotic, bizarre and ... precise. the wise mix of mistery and humor. the cases who are more than ...cases, reflecting the problems of Adrian Monk as real virtues. a film fascinating for the courage and science to propose something unconventional , who has the brilliant gift to educate, in its spirit, the public. short, a sort of revolution of genre. and admirable work of a so talented actor. it is strange to say I love it because it is the ordinary reaction to a smart script and lovely manner to reflect the vulnerabilities of many ignored people. so, the mistery serie of a new century.
jcjs333 I see Amazon has 'Psyche' now which i binged on some years ago and Psyche is awesome' with great cameos and acting and funny. I'd pass by watching Monk i don't know why. I'm on Ep 14 of 7th season after about 7 days. I'm totally immersed in the pleasure of this series. I bet they have great out takes. I'm not going to say much about it. Ya just have to check it out and i trust you'll be as pleased. The show is 'one of a kind'. Someone told me they like Columbo better. Peter falk is great and the show was a hoot but it was more of a serious show and is different compared to Monk. Monk is 'Charlie Chan', 'Columbo', 'Sid Ceasar', 'Red Skelton', 'Red Buttons', 'Jack Benny', 'Flip Wilson', 'George Burns and Gracy Allen' , 'Steve Allen' and old them classic one of a kind good ole awesome humor. And 'clowning'. Monk is a modern day 'Red Skelton' on steroids. Also, i've gotten to the point where i turn on a series and i stop watching it if they use 'f--k'. The 'f-word' has lost it's meaning. I watched over 110 episodes of 'Monk' before i heard Capt Stoddlmeir say '...people come to a football game and get all 'f----d' up. It took hours and hours to hear 'f'. Tin Star starts out with the f word a dozen times said by the whole family. F word ought to be used sparingly and with gusto hitting a person's gut with it like the 'c' word. Nowadays, i think people who say 'f' are simply illiterate idiots and writers are bad who use it. They can't write. 'Death in Paradise', BBC, is a great series like Monk in it's humor and wind up at the end. But, MONK is Monk and Monk is a great actor and a great 'clown' making people laugh at him, with him and realize the humor in life. Sad, to see the show go. RED SKELTON is the first hit i got while watching it. Monk can act, though. Great job.
gofastergetrounder Monk was a wonderful concept. It works nearly perfectly for TV. I tend to like Mini-Series that develop and need to be watched in order from beginning to end. Monk isn't that kind of show. Instead, once you have the basic idea, you can watch and thoroughly enjoy any of the shows independently. The concept was strong enough, the writing good enough, and the acting skilled enough that the show managed to stay fresh essentially throughout the series. Sure, some ups and downs, but uniformly strong. That is really tough to do: Even the best TV shows have trouble staying fresh.I'd put it up with Arrested Development in terms of the amount it made me genuinely laugh. High praise indeed.
engelby One of the best things about this show was the end. I know how bizarre this sounds but just hold on.You know how a show can get boring. Drop in the ratings and finally gets cancelled with a lukewarm ending that really is more than just a disappointment for the fans. Well not in this case. Sure It did maybe feel a tiny bit rushed, but for wrapping up the show and for finally getting some closure for the characters and the audience it was really good. The cherry on top (for me) was the final seconds, where you really felt, that even though you don't get to see more, the characters life goes on with cases and puzzles to solve. Brilliant. It wasn't a cliffhanger with an unsatisfying want for more. We were only in it for the after-Trudy, solving her murder. All the other great things about this show you can read in the many other reviews. I just really liked that for once and ending of a show was just right.... (even though they could have gone on for many more years for us fans)
