Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Mabel Munoz Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
epic-08816 Marvel did a great job with this one. It is a bit slow a first but anyone who claims it to be unbearably slow is just impatient and looking for the classic superhero action thriller. That is not what this tv show is. Cloak and Dagger is a beautiful take on drama and superheroes. They did a wonderful job developing each character and the the time it took to develope them (described as slow by many) was completely necessary. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good plot, good character development and a story that gets you thinking. I would like to end by telling everyone to disregard many of the reviews made before August as the season was not done yet. Therefore an accurate review could not have been made. If you are the type who loves great development of plot and characters, then defiantly give this a watch. If all you want is punching, kicking and classic superhero action without any plot development, then don't watch it. If you do watch it and don't like it for this reason, then stop knocking it and go watch your plain vanilla TV shows and movies.
questiontheauthorities Let's recap: we opened our pilot episode by promoting using the date rape drug as an acceptable thing to do to somebody. The date rape drug is not justified by any context whatsoever; least of all by 'hypothetical' or 'stereotypical' scenarios attempting to justify such. Moving on from that disaster--there is no plot, no character depth, and no story or character arc that isn't OVERTLY laced with liberal politics... At least they cast a black male and white female to play them like in the comics--captain marvel and the ancient one was not so lucky (neither was Roland Deschain) but it seems only white males suffer at the hands of liberal ideals when it comes to rights. These characters are white males and should have been cast as such--and I point this out in my review because it's a pattern over several years needing attention. Remember when fantasy was an ESCAPE from real world politically laced BS? Are humans so creatively neutered they can't do that anymore?
Daniel Braithwaite This show isn't awful, but it's far from great. My biggest criticism is that there isn't really a plot: Roxxon build 'valves' all over the city and Tandy/Tyrone turn some other valves and stop the first valves from exploding by standing near the new valves and 'absorbing' mystical energy. It's the stupidest plot I've ever wasted 6 hours of my life on.Netflix do really great TV adaptations of Marvel comics, but ABC seriously suck at it. Inhumans was truly awful, Agents of Shield is hit/miss and Cloak & Dagger falls significantly short of good. I do not recommend this show.
skay4081 Cloak and dagger may not have the amount of action or fast pace as the DC shows but it creates superhero drama that's small scale but focuses on character which makes for emotional moments on level with flash season 1. Overall it may not have twists and turns as other shows but it talks about topics the MCU avoids making it realistic. I liked the dceu for doing this talking about topics such as identity
