The Smurfs 2 Trailers

The evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties that he hopes will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf-essence. But when he discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants, and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs, Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris, where he has been winning the adoration of millions as the world¹s greatest sorcerer. It's up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her! Will Smurfette, who has always felt different from the other Smurfs, find a new connection with the Naughties Vexy and Hackus or will the Smurfs convince her that their love for her is True Blue?

MonsterPerfect Good idea lost in the noise
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
treykrumel Where do i even begin first off i didn't expect much from the trailer. but things got worse when i went to see it. it was like watching a bunch of 8 year olds running around the screen and stuff like that. i regret waste my time on this film the first one was pretty good but this is just trash. this movie is the main reason why i started hating cgi films. 1/10 for low expectations
deanogibson Smurfs 2 certainly isn't perfect and as almost every other review seems to be talking about how it does not cater to adult viewers particularly well. There are some references in there only the parents will get, but again, the other reviews I have read complained about them. As an adult it wasn't unwatchable, certainly acceptable to watch with the kids.Without spoiling the story the film did repeat the moral of the story a bit but is a kids film, what do you expect? What I can say without spoiling the film is that is manages to avoid painting things as black and white like most films do. It explores the grey area and as a result it is much more enjoyable and better thought out than the usual rubbish that gets put into kids films.Overall it is has more to offer than most children's films and while it does not hit the heights of a Pixar film it deserves credit for avoiding many of the worst tropes. They could have just made a thoughtless film and the smurfs name would have ensured a big cheque. Instead they actually made something worth watching. Considering Pixar's offering for the year was below par and Dreamworks has had a dire year this should easily make the top 5 animated films for the year, only beaten by Frozen, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 and Monsters University.
elenarosiesmith The smurfs 2 was on TV and I missed the beginning so it was hard to get into, I watched about 2 minutes of it until I got distracted and emailed a beet farm. Don't think I'll watch the end but it was alright. Would recommend. I digress the film offered me nothing new and left me almost in shock, from the unoriginal plot. Honestly I'm only 10 minutes into the film but yolo its low key sick Niel Patrick Harris was OK nothing to write home about tho A cat was blown up not sure about that tbh thought that was a bit off but :-/ Their feet are too big and it creeps me out, what's under those shoes? Do they have toes? Why is this big human going after a bunch of blue humans? Just leave them be!! Also how did papa smurf get to have red clothes is he the high priest of the smurf world or something?? How does one obtain red clothes? Asking for a friend.
leonblackwood Review: Not only was this movie silly and boring, it also put me off of the little blue people which I grew to love as a child. The director made this film just for kids in mind, without a thought about the adults that have to sit through it with there little ones. I should have known what to expect after seeing the first one, but I was hoping that there would have been something for us people without kids. The CGI was done well, but the storyline was terrible and extremely unrealistic. Maybe they shouldn't use real people next time and just keep it in Smurf la la land! Round-Up: It was weird seeing Brendan Gleeson making a fool of himself throughout the movie, but I'm sure that it won't hurt his career. Neil Patrick Harris is acting the same as he did in the first one so there wasn't that much surprise with his contribution. The new Smurfs that are in this film weren't bad and Gargarmel is up to his usual tricks, trying to capture the Smurfs, but I ended up falling asleep after a while. It's not a bad movie to put on if you want to keep the kids quiet, and judging by the money that it made, I'm sure that your going to see a third one in this franchise, but I'm hoping that they will give it to a different director.Budget: $105million (On What!) Worldwide Gross: $348millionI recommend this movie to kids who are into the Smurfs and silly comedies with mini Avatars. 2/10
