AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
mimi-63212 I believe the movie 'Hop' is one of the best movies I've ever seen because it is really a wonderful film. I'm really thankful to my mom because she took me to the theater. This movie is about E.B., an Easter bunny, running away to Hollywood for his dreams of becoming a drummer. In Hollywood, E.B. meets a man called Fred and the story is about the two of them working together for their own dreams. I really like the main character, E.B., very much because he is cute and brave. He also knows that friendship is important and this is one of the main reasons why I like him so much. The other thing I like about this movie is the story. As I've told you earlier, this movie is about E.B. going to Hollywood for his dreams. I really love the choice E.B. made about going to Hollywood because it's uncommon for people to leave back everything they have just for their dreams. I also like the way the story ends. In the end of the movie, E.B. and Fred go to Easter Island, with their dreams achieved. Even though I knew the movie would end like this, I was very impressed. I want to recommend this movie to children because I believe it will encourage their dreams. I really want to tell you that Hop is a movie that every one should watch.
henryhertzhobbit Warning! Ages over 12 into adult will probably not like this film except for those that retain some of their childhood. Teenagers will not like it.It is sort of a cross between Alvin and the Chipmunks and Polar Express in feel. It is about the animated son of the Easter Bunny named E.B. and his real world pal who is sort of like him. So like Who Framed Roger Rabbit it combines animation with real people. What got my attention was that rabbit hole on a Pacific Island. Well, not literally but you will get the idea when you think about that hole for a while. The animation of the Easter Factory was superb which was why I raised it from an eight to a nine. It is short on story line. But the way they merged real people with animation made the movie fun and refreshing. It is recommended for children and those who like animation. Who would have thought a movie with the title Hop would be a pleasant little film? It didn't win any awards but it will entertain most young children.
ctyankee1 Very funny, Hop has a voice that goes so well with his personality. Russell Brand the English actor plays Hop. He makes a short cameo appearance. Hop lies and fakes injury and loves to play the drums. He does not want to be the Easter Bunny appointed by his father. There are so many funny scenes and the animation is great. The combination of real people and animation makes the environment so interesting. The colors in the factory where Easter candy is made are so beautiful. The music is great and the singing too. Hop plays the drums for a group of blind singers called "The Blind Boys of Alabama". They may be blind but they are not stupid. They know he is not their regular drummer. There is some infighting between the rabbits and chicks. The chicks want to take over Easter. This movie has been playing on the ABC Family Channel 4-20-4-21 more than once a day.I do hope you get to see it.
richieandsam HOPI had seen a couple of trailers about this movie... but in all of the ones I had seen it was just a bunny playing drums... I was not expecting this to be a mixture of live action and animation. The movie is about the Easter Bunnys son and a guy who is too lazy to even get a job. E.B. is the Easter Bunnys son. He is next in line to take over when his Dad retires, but he doesn't want to be the Easter Bunny... he wants to be a famous drummer. So he runs away. Fred is a lazy bum who lives with his parents and does not want a job. Can they help each other out and improve each others lives before Carlos, the evil chick, takes over the chocolate egg factory and ruin Easter.I was fully expecting this movie to be an all animation movie. I was shocked to see live action in it. I like that though... it reminds me of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I love that movie. This is not as good as that, but is still very entertaining. The animation was very good and the interaction between the actors and the cartoons was great. You can't really tell that the actors are not really talking to anyone. The character named Carlos was my favourite character. I thought he was very funny, i just wish he was in it slightly more. The movie was very amusing and a lot of fun, but i didn't find it very laugh out loud funny. I did laugh a couple of times, but not a lot. But this does not take the fun away from the movie. The kids loved it.The acting was good and the voice acting was also good. I liked the voices in this mainly because you can tell who did them. I can't see the point in famous people doing voice acting unless you can tell who they are. Russell Brand was the voice of E.B. You can't mistake Russell Brand at all. He has a great voice and was perfect for this character. Hugh Laurie was the voice of the Easter Bunny. Again, you can tell his voice straight away... he was also a perfect choice. James Marsden was the main character in the live action parts of the movie. He did a good job, but he just has one of those faces that is good for comedy. Other cast members were Kaley Cuoco Sweeting, Hank Azaria, Gary Cole, Elizabeth Perkins and the legendary David Hasselhoff.David Hasselhoff plays himself in the movie which is great. What I love about David is he does not take himself very seriously... and that just makes him all the more likable. I was a huge fan of his when I was a kid. Knight Rider was my favourite show and I even loved Baywatch when it was on. The Hoff was very cheesy in this film, but it was very well done. My favourite line in the movie was from him "My best friend is a talking car". :DOverall this movie is good and I enjoyed watching it... it just felt like a Christmas movie more than an Easter one. The sledge and the chicks pulling it around the world do the Bunny could deliver the eggs just seemed a rip off of Christmas which I thought was a bit lame.I will give this film 7 out of 10."She thinks Easter is cool. Talking rabbits freaks her out."For more reviews, please like my Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ordinary-Person-Movie- Reviews/456572047728204?ref=hl
