Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
Matylda Swan It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Janis One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
RISurfer I really enjoyed this film, even though I wasn't sure I would because I don't "love" (although I like) CDS. But having selections from different shows, plus a plot (albeit a limited one), plus close-ups, made it a step up. You could really appreciate the costumes, expressions, and integrated aspects of the productions. Many people don't have the opportunity to see a live CDS act; in my opinion this is a better introduction than films of just one production. BTW I didn't see it in 3-D - saw it on Netflix; I had never heard of it before, but it's absolutely worth watching. It's also suitable for kids of all ages, grandparents, etc. so the whole family can watch together.
Benjamin Stark I should have read the reviews here before seeing this. BIG disappointment! The slow motion on the circus acts were a pain in the butt! Just awful! No live audience & there was a complete disconnect. Too many emphasis on visual effects & the circus acts actually became cameos (not even supporting acts)! Mindless visuals one after another & complete nonsensical nor cohesiveness on the story. What's with the lame tricycle that paddles itself? This is nothing compared to the surprise, joy, excitement and amazement I got when I saw Dralion, Alegria, Quidam, etc. This one really sucked.
Armand it is a love story. but it is not important. it is a fairy story. but this is its purpose. it is a show. this is essential. because it is a great beautiful show in Cirque du Soleil manner. colors, magic, joy. childhood emotions in crust of magnificent art. that is all. and the basic story is its seed. because the film is a love declaration. powerful, seductive and honest. an umbrella under the rains of selfish. or only a gate. fragments of show, it is a delight for soul. and this fact is impressive. because it is gentle and subtle. because little pictures are parts of a fragile building. because it is a kind of rainbow. because it is pure show. adventures, romanticism and unique acrobatics.
kelby393 First of all, try not to analyze too much why this or that is there - remember it's a circus. *Also, **small spoilers ahead**But yes, this was a beautiful, awe inspiring experience. The basic story is a young woman meeting the Aerialist and when he falls into the sand pit below him, he and she sink into this other world, and then they're separated and have to go through all these different worlds to find each other again. By "worlds" I mean a bunch of other Cirque du Soleil performances put together with rather great transitions. Even the Beatles LOVE performance is in it!Speaking of the Beatles, the music a lot of times is wonderful and very pleasing, especially the Beatles part (which I tried to sing along to) and the part with the Asian looking people with the red tights :) The 3D, courtesy of the legendary James Cameron, is stunning and reminded me a lot of Avatar. Same thing for the acrobatics, the performers did a great job!!Very recommended, 9/10
