KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Ava-Grace Willis Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
ryu-41539 Enjoyed this film, same premises as the japanese film battle royal just up to date version. And of course has Vinnie Jones in, bu the camara was always shaky onf the fighting scenes which was a tad annoying.
M C if you are looking for a hearth touching movie , this one if not for you. If you are looking for a badass , asskicking movie with a lot of action this is perfect for you as simple as that you will not think a lot after the movie ends but you will leave with a smile on your face and maybe you want to kick some ass but thats fine. really sad this movie its not well know cause it brings it and have some really cool stuff , fighting ,shooting , explosions , maybe its not the best action movie you'll ever see but is one you will NOT regret to see or feel like you wasted your time
bluesman-20 The Condemned is one of those movies that you know right off the bat is made for one specific type of audience. If you like reading Jane Austin novels and sunsets and walks along the beach and romantic movies then this movie may not be for you. This is all out balls to the wall action movie that does not apologize for what it is. Premise is a reality series producer is putting together the ultimate survivor series on the internet. He picks ten people from the worst prisons around the world and buys them from death row and attaches a bomb to their ankles. The Bomb will go off in 24 hours the catch is simple only one can win. It's a fight to the death the prize is you get your life your freedom and a big bankroll. Trapped amongst the sadistic killers is Jack Conrad (Steve Austin) a former Navy S.E.A.L. who was recruited to do black ops types of jobs his last one went bad and he was caught in El Salvador awaiting death. All Conrad wants to do is get out of this alive and go home to his girl. But Conrad is decent man with Honor and a code of principles that will not let him take part in this sadistic game so he tries his best to survive and get help. Steve Austin does a good job in his first film As lead actor and he's gone on to make better films since his role in the EXPENDABLES is much better and you can see Austin has grown as a actor, This movie is worth checking out if you are a fan of this type of action flick. Better then Van Damme's hard target and Rutger Hauer's The game, This movie does deliver good entertainment.
Leofwine_draca Imagine an American remake of BATTLE ROYALE with a cast of wrestlers and hard-men actors (and actresses) instead of schoolchildren and you have, in a nutshell, THE CONDEMNED.It's a violent RUNNING MAN-type movie that sees ten fighters dropped off on a deserted island where they must battle to the death. The action plays out to Internet subscribers (a nod to the modern era) whilst the old "exploding collars" are present around each muscled calf and weapons are dropped in by parachute. Sound familiar? It is, and yet the scriptwriters attack this familiar premise with gusto. The movie is very fast paced and full of incident. Having previously watched two other WWE-made films (one of which, a gory horror entitled SEE NO EVIL, was okay, while the other, a would-be action flick called THE MARINE, was terrible) I was in two minds about this one, but I found it the best yet. Not because it's original – it's not, and it never strives to be. But the direction is well handled and the situations frequently exciting. Sure, the characters could have been better drawn and the villains are rather weak – other than the typically larger-than-life Vinnie Jones – but director Scott Wiper handles his plot elements with no shortage of style.Steve Austin is the hulking hero, a guy whom it's easy to like in this film. The supporting cast, including the likes of Rick Hoffman and the gigantic Nathan Jones and a couple of buxom women, are very good. The violence is shocking and occasionally disturbing, and the action sequences, although brief, are well shot and fitfully exciting. There are a few procrastinations on the nature of violence in the media and man's inhumanity to man, which I felt got in the way of the story a little, but for the most part THE CONDEMNED does the job nicely.
