The Banger Sisters Trailers

In the late '60s, the self-proclaimed belles of the rock 'n' roll ball, rocked the worlds of every music legend whose pants they could take off -- and they have the pictures to prove it. But it's been more than two decades since the Banger Sisters earned their nickname -- or even laid eyes on each other. Their reunion is the collision of two women's worlds; one who's living in the past, and one who's hiding from it. Together they learn to live in the moment.

Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
ChampDavSlim The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
SnoopyStyle Suzette (Goldie Hawn) gets fired from Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles. She decides to go to Phoenix to reconnect with Lavinia Kingsley (Susan Sarandon) who used to be her best friend as "The Banger Sisters". On the way, she picks up peculiar writer Harry Plummer (Geoffrey Rush) who claims to be going to Phoenix to kill his father. Lavinia is now a conservative mother to valedictorian Hannah (Erika Christensen) and driving-impaired Ginger (Eva Amurri Martino) and wife to lawyer Raymond (Robin Thomas). Suzette is staying with Harry at a hotel when she encounters Hannah freaking out after dropping acid during prom. None of her family knows Vinnie's former wild life.Hawn and Sarandon are good together. Rush and Hawn are even better together as opposites. The girls discovering their mother is compelling. It would be better to have them have more heart-to-heart scenes with Vinnie. A girls' sit-down could be a powerful emotional talk. This movie is much better than expected although my expectations were extremely low.
Python Hyena The Banger Sisters (2002): Dir: Bob Dolman / Cast: Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon, Geoffrey Rush, Erika Christensen, Eva Amurri Martino: Offensive title with sexual undertones regarding the term "banger." Goldie Hawn plays a rock music groupie fired from the bar she worked at so she sets out seeking financial aid by rekindling a friendship. She picks up an unstable screenwriter with a gun with one bullet purposed for his dominating father. She encounters her friend's drunken daughter after a prom party. She escorts her home and reunites with Susan Sarandon who gave up groupie life for motherhood. As predicted they struggle through differences but the biggest problem is the permissive attitude towards this behavior. Sarandon is outraged upon catching her daughter having sex in the pool but Hawn dismisses it. Director Bob Dolman does well with the flat material aided by the two stars. Hawn clearly running the show going from a life she never outgrew, to a life she feared facing. Sarandon surrendered to home life and is now refacing her past. How this is played through is not necessarily encouraging. Geoffrey Rush as the screenwriter serves no purpose. Erika Christensen recites her rebellious role from Traffic to a far lesser degree. It is unfortunately that a comedy featuring leads such as Hawn and Sarandon would be so dull, but that transpires here quickly. Potential theme warped by degenerate writing. Score: 2 ½ / 10
carolineodonnell I loved this film because it reminded me of when i was a teenager and how we didn't care about what happened. But it also made me think about who i am today and if I'm being true to myself. That feeling of do i dress like an old woman, or do i look like the way i feel.I love the 3 main characters and I'm not sure if i'm Suzette or Vinnie, think I'm probably a bit of both.A few years ago i was dressing like Lavinia, but now dress the way i want to and i don't care what anyone thinks.I used to wear stuff like Suzette, but I've toned it down now lol I wish my best friend was here still xx
Gordon-11 This film is about a middle class wife having to face her unconventional past when her best friend from her past shows up at her doorstep uninvited.I find "The Banger Sisters" funny, genuine and heartwarming. The plot is about being true to yourself, and not be the person other people want you to be. Vinnie's changes in her personality is well portrayed in the film, making it a believable and satisfying change. Her journey of self rediscovery maybe clichéd, but it is heartwarming, affirmative and thought provoking. I enjoyed "The Banger Sisters" a lot, as it is positive, entertaining and fun.
