Derek Vineyard is paroled after serving 3 years in prison for killing two African-American men. Through his brother, Danny Vineyard's narration, we learn that before going to prison, Derek was a skinhead and the leader of a violent white supremacist gang that committed acts of racial crime throughout L.A. and his actions greatly influenced Danny. Reformed and fresh out of prison, Derek severs contact with the gang and becomes determined to keep Danny from going down the same violent path as he did.

DonDiCaprio One of the best movies i ever seen. Ed Norton with a exceptional interpretation. Without a doubt this is the best racist drama movie i seen.
nathanpaulbillings-06648 It is just amazing watching this movie 20 years after it came out and realizing how much of the movie that we can relate to our lives. How Edward Didn't win an oscar is one of my life's biggest mysteries.
yasiru1991 One can change and roll back whatever his past for good. It has nothing to with the surrounding you live but within yourself. Every Man and Woman can change for good and be good. Its a universal message which this film is based on. That idea is taken to the viewers minds really smoothly but with a greater sensitive depth. Film scored only 7 from me as it lacked failed to emotionally grab the viewer as much as i hope. It talks to the brain but fails to capture the heats entirely. Nevertheless it is a fine movie to watch and rethink about ourselves.
