Reviews
Kattiera Nana I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
jackgdemoss This movie positively SCREAMS 2005 from every frame. It is all of the silliest parts of cringe culture at that time with a generous dose of slapstick comedy. I am personally not a fan of either of those things, but thankfully Ryan Reynolds saved the day with his unique and hilarious style. Save the day may not be the right phrasing, because this is definitely one of the worst movies I have seen this year (2018).
dandllarsen This movie is nothing but slapstick, stupid pratfalls, and gross jokes. I regret buying it, I regret the time I spent watching it, and I will never watch it again. The storyline is sad and unbelievable with nonprofit he Malory whatsoever. The acting is bad, there are dozens of sad stereotypes, and it was not NOT funny. Do NOT watch this horrible movie.
paranoidcyborg I tend to rate on a bell curve, so compared to other movies with amazing stories, beautiful cinematography, innovating editing, this movies defiantly would be more of a 5/10 but as a mid 00's romantic comedy this movies surpassed mt expectations.Just Friends hits the mark perfect mark of sarcastic over the top comedy that would follow a post clueless teen audience into their early adulthood. Ryan Reynolds' comedic timing fits perfectly with Anna Faris' over the top pop star, filling in quite nicely for a mediocre plot.So while this is not the best movies out there, this is defiantly the right movie for a lazy night of laughs.
Dr_Sagan This feels like an old school comedy. And by old school I mean lots of comedies between 1980-1995.Its premise has some deep insights, but overall it's a comedy with lots of physical humor and a shallow (although some times sharp) script. In a way, someone can argue that this movie is also ...educational: Avoid the "Friend zone" with the girl you are secretly in love with. All the characters are presented with exaggeration. Not real to life.Amy Smart is lovely in this but Reynolds fails to be interesting plus he adds some Jim Carrey stunts and mannerism that don't suit him. Anna Faris is also in this and plays a wacko pop singer with great efficiency!Overall: If you catch it on TV watch it, but don't expect to be amazed.
