Reviews
Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Stephanie There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Brain Man I was reading a book while my TV was on for no reason. I do that sometimes, just to have something at the background of my thoughts. At 3:00 p.m. there's usually nothing on that's decent enough for any person to forget about what they're doing and focus on the screen. Spanish viewers have to deal with that since the beginning of TV times. Then there was an annoying sound that startled me. It appears the producers came with a brilliant idea: Why don't we cover up the badness of this script with a nonstop-nonsense soundtrack? And they did it! It's so bad I wanted to be blind for 2 hours. And that's all I can write, honestly.
caseybones It only got stars at all because of the scenery.Absolutely no chemistry between the leading characters. Acting is wooden. Plot is the same as 90% of the Hallmark series involving a high-powered company executive, a much-loved salt of the earth type who has an adorable child and a dead wife/husband, a fiancé/fiancée who is a total smarmy creep, and a sudden epiphany by the leading man/woman about true love and what matters in life. A waste of time when you know exactly what the ending will be in the first 10 minutes of the movie.Doesn't Hallmark have any other formula to follow? Time for a whole new writing staff!
bookandcandle The movie was heartwarming and entertaining, as far as I could tell, if I could hear what the characters were saying over the loud music. The scenery was breathtaking. The connection between an American woman and an Irish man was intriguing. The reason I gave this movie a one was because the music in the background was so loud that I could not hear what the characters were saying and there should not be music while one is speaking. If one can't enjoy the movie, then one might as well not watch it. The music ruined everything for me.It would be nice for Hallmark to take note of the older movies when you could hear every word and not have to strain your ears, and I have excellent hearing. The music is very distracting. You don't need music when one is speaking.
haneys4 I was disappointed with this movie. The storyline was a typical love story formula, but I expected that so that was okay. What I did not care for was Nicollette Sheridan's acting ability, or lack of ability. She had no depth and displayed but two moods, mad and happy. She was unable to portray deeper feelings which led me to not empathizing with her character. Considering Greg Wise can endear himself with a raise of an eyebrow, I sat there wondering "why did they match up these two actors?" At the same time, I held out hope that it could be salvaged with a spark igniting between them. But, here was the real disappointment: the two actors lacked chemistry between each other...and in a love story, the right chemistry is crucial in making the formula work.
