deacon_blues-3 A viscous polemic against Christianity, contrived to put Christians in the worst possible light. It sets up an outlandish twisting of Scripture as the basis for a diatribe that panders to the paranoia of secularism that all Christians are to be feared as deluded, evil psychopaths who only desire to make others, especially women, miserable and oppressed. No sect ever interpreted 1 Corinthians 7:36 as condoning incest with one's daughter. Even the Old Testament vehemently condemns any such notion. This movie's goal is to provoke paranoia and persecution against anyone who tries to live a Christian life according to the Bible. Dangerous!!!!!

Yogibearz First of, this is not a movie that will have you have faith in humanity.. It is the grittiest kind of story....it is raw, like experiencing a truly macabre experiance..I'm not going to lie, it made me sick to my stomach ( probably more so by the era and the circumstances) but the story told was well executed...actors did the story justice and the cinemaraphy was amazing! I'm dumbfound by the metacritic and rottentomatoes reviews..then again, to not trust a bunch of "high brow" d-bags that are more concerned with how much is left in their wino bagNbox!

giovannadiniz Not bad, not good. it is a good drama, but with many flaws. dakota and guy are great actors, but i find the plot appealing TOO MUCH. about kit harington: the impression is that they put him in the cast just to fill sausage, unfortunately nothing had to add useful to the plot.
