Best movie ever!

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

We are now have her shows on TV here in Thailand and sorry she may be very talented in some areas but for me her comedy is rubbish and she should give it up. Now Catherine Tate who is similar in some ways is a far superior comedy act and I have a good laugh when she is on TV whereas Tracey puts me to sleep or I changes channels or sit and watch paint dry

I didn't feel overly convinced at first, but the more I got into this show the more I loved it. She is such a wonderfully gifted comedienne, but the writing and sketches more then match her undoubted talent. So many great characters, I wonder just how much fun she had making Dames French and Smith not quite so white, they're brilliant characterisations, the two best though have to be, firstly Angela Merkel, she looks so much like the German Chancellor, but her use of beige etc is so good. The masterpiece each week though must be her Nicola Sturgeon, I absolutely love how wonderfully over the top everything is, her clothing, accent, and the fact that she's portrayed as a Bond villain, genius. She's great!!!

Let me preface this review by saying that I have been a major fan of Tracy Ullman for over twenty-five years. In the past she has been one of my favorite comedians. I also believe that Ullman can be an incredibly adept and gifted performer.Sadly, you will not see her talent in this current series...Compared to her earlier comedy series, this current version is painfully bad. This is not Ullman's fault - it is the fault of the writers. No amount of performing talent can overcome some of the most hideously bad "comedy" writing ever created for British television. Skits on a recent program included Dame Judy Dench keying a sports car, and a three year old and a gigantic inflatable penis. This is NOT funny... this is just incredibly creepy and disturbing.

I've now watched two episodes of Tracey Ullman's new comedy show and it is absolutely the best. She does not rely on cheap tinny sexual innuendo that is so tired it should be banned. Her humor is definitely British and European characters but as a normal north American I could not be more highly amused. In fact, laugh out loud belly laugh amused. Dame Judy Dench as a pilfering, toilet-clogging mischief maker who can do anything because 'she's a national treasure' and Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany as a sexy torch-singing maven are only a few of the unbelievable number characters in the half hour show. The makeup is unbelievable. It takes a few minutes of watching a male character to realize that yes, it is Tracey!I hope you take my word for it and try this show. You'll be happy you did.
