Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
OllieSuave-007 A rather dull and ho-hum TV show about the lives of three teenage boys who attend Evergreen Academy, a previous all-female school. This series is more of those atypical chick flicks with drawn-out teenage fare and sappy puppy-love relationships that really doesn't give for a good story. The main plot was rather boring and he comedy is almost non-existent.The acting wasn't bad, however. The actors held up their own a little with what bland materials and story plots they have to work with.Grade D
leriejane Wow. I found this online and like another viewer, was hooked! I just watched all 8 episodes and surprised that it ended so soon. Smart, funny and the cast has really great dynamics. Based on the premise of 3 young male teens attending a previously all-girl high school. Since they're the only males, they stick out and attempt to fit in. One hilarious scene has them singing at the school's Ladies Night, where groups of girls get together and since "empowerment" type songs. The guys dress in drag and deliver a stunning performance. Another funny episode has these guys coming to the sudden realization that they've been "chickified", and are now behaving like girls (going to the bathroom together, 3-way calling about their day, exchanging cooking recipes). There's too many laugh-out-loud moments to list.Disappointing that we'll never get to see what happens to Jed & Kate or Cary &Stella. Jed (Milo Ventimiglia) is a good guy, but he has insecurities, especially related to the opposite sex. There's a lot of talk about sex in this series: contemplating, attempting to get laid, etc. But it's not the sole focus, it's definitely not overdone. One of the best moments is when Jed tells Miranda that he doesn't want to lose his virginity so soon, because he wants to do it when he can be sure that he'll make the girl feel good. A sweet, but conflicted and complex character. Kate (Allison Mack), who's smarter than most adults and can always make Jed laugh, is his true crush, but he gets distracted by the seemingly easy Miranda. Miranda loves shocking people for the sake of it, for example her birthday party "theme" focused on finding two virgins to "sacrifice" at her choosing.Phil (Kyle Howard) & Cary are the only other two boys at the school. Phil being a "walking GPA" super-focused on doing everything right to get into college including running for city councilman. Cary's not so smart, and tries to define his reputation as a ladies man, but turns out to be a sweet and good-natured. A funny thing about there being only 3 boys at the school, is that the have to wear the same gym uniform as the girls (bright yellow shirt with purple shorts)and their "locker room" is actually the janitor's basement. This had great actors and great writing, it's really a shame that FOX cancels its best shows all the time. It never had a chance to reach all of its intended audience and its full potential. What's most delightful is seeing actors like Milo Ventimiglia, Allison Mack and Kyle Howard in earlier roles.
Lmiranda2220 I know this show aired about 7 years ago but just recently someone started to post it on Youtube, so I've been watching it. I've watched 4 out of 8 episodes that aired and I must say I enjoy it. I like the humor, because even though they are "sex jokes", it's not crude. It's a fun and unique idea. Jed Perry, played by Milo Ventimiglia, transfers to an all girl school that just became co-ed. The show follows him as he finds finds friends and love, and gets in touch with his feminine side. Watch the last scene of the pilot episode to see what I am talking about. Obviously, a lot of the cast members are blown up now on t.v or in movies, like Milo, Allison Mack and Chris Evans. But this was obviously one of their first real jobs and they looked like they were having fun. T.v always cheats us when they cut off good t.v for crap like American Idol and The Simple Life. Especially Fox. I wish it would of had AT LEAST one FULL SEASON. But I was happy to at least get 8 episodes. It's better than nothing at all.
flower84 As you may already know, Fox is dumping this show along w/ the other great show Get Real. In return they're getting new shows such as Dark Angel which doesn't look all that appealing to me. But then again, every time i find a show that I like it's always canceled. Malcolm in the Middle and SNL are the only exceptions. Anyway, I really liked this show. It had a good premise and a lot of great "new" actors that are up and coming. I especially like Milo Ventimiglia (Jed), Chris Evans (Carey), and Lindsey McKeon (Stella). The scenes w/ Carey and Stella are hilarious and clever. I also love the music that they use, such as "Good Things" by Everything and that song that they played at the end of the episode where Miranda was going to sacrifice two virgins at her birthday party. I have all the episodes on tape (six of 'em) and was looking foward to the upcoming episode where they are left behind at school. However, Fox yanked the show before it aired, so you could imagine my surprise when I watched the tape last night and instead of Oppisite Sex, I had taped Ally McBeal. I'm p'o'd that Fox would cancel this show, but then again most networks dump the shows with the most unforseen promise without giving them so much of a chance.
