Ogosmith Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
MartinHafer "The Outlaw Deputy" is a simple, no-nonsense sort of western. There isn't any singing and no romance...just a decent story about a good-guy crook who, inexplicably, becomes a lawman! When the story begins, a local scumbag is upset because his property keeps getting attacked by a gang. You soon learn that the scumbag was a murderer who thought he got away with it...and ruining was the job of this odd vigilante gang. As a result of this, Tim (Tim McCoy) is a wanted man, though he has no inclination towards any more lawlessness and dissolves the gang once their job is complete. When Tim's friend, a very young cowboy, is murdered in a robbery, Tim now directs his attention to finding those responsible. Surprisingly, however, in the process the folks in the town he's just rode into make him a deputy...and he goes off in search of the killers with the law's blessing! What's next? See the film.
