Reviews
Lucybespro It is a performances centric movie
Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Horror Christian bale is incredible in this brilliant story of denial. This is one of my favourites movies ever! Every time I watch it I forget the ending it's that well done.
gute321 That's not how you play 'hangman' you only draw another part of the stickman when the player guesses an incorrect letter why would you draw another part of the stickman if the guessed letter is in the word it doesn't make sense bale was good though 5/10
Ian (Flash Review)What life events or conditions drives someone to insomnia? This film explores a man, who is an industrial machinist, and how insomnia effects his everyday life to the point of perceived delusion. There is second plot point that I'll leave as a surprise that is the crux of this film. The film feels small and well-focused with an atmosphere of cool steel colors and confining shot framing that give it an ominous tone. Bale literally got into character and starved himself to become the character with an emaciated appearance. Amazingly a year later he was super ripped for his role as Superman. Overall, this is a tight little character study that'll keep you engaged and thinking.
huggibear I thought this movie was very well acted and that it had a very unique plot, but I wasn't the only one left guessing at the end. I didn't understand what really happened. But I still thought it was a good movie nonetheless. Why did I like this movie? It's difficult to explain, but it was all in the main character's mind where I tried to be in order to make sense of what was taking place or what had taken place. It didn't help me none though. I guess a good movie such as this doesn't need that much of a closure. Maybe many people understand this movie, but I was a bit lost. I'd watch it again to see what the heck I might have missed the first time, for sure. Good job on this movie! I was lost, but I liked it...kind of an odd thing to say, but it is what it is.
