Reviews
Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
ClassyWas Excellent, smart action film.
ScoobyMint Disappointment for a huge fan!
HottWwjdIam There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
Gordon-11 This film tells the story of a scientist who discovers that the afterlife exists. He works to prove what the afterlife consists of.The story is pretty heavy, as most characters carry baggages on the shoulders. At times it is a bit slow, but overall it is engaging and keeps me interested in it.
jamalking15 The director portrays humans as simple and extremely mailable, assuming a TV story can change the minds of people so easily or make humans commit suicide to move on to the next existence. Lots of potential in the idea of measuring brain activity through the death experience, but story just never goes anywhere. Old ideas that memories remain in dead bio matter? Really? And cadavers still possessing brain waves of future thoughts? It appeared to be an agenda driven movie, without ever making the agenda clear. (unless reincarnation is still believed by some as an agenda.) A very sad view of humanity suggesting all of us are just waiting to move on to the next reality to try and fix the mistakes of the past.
ronin1138 Good, entertaining film, solid performances and most of all thought provoking. Those of you familiar with Nietszche's frankly disturbing theory of Eternal Reoccurance will find this an interesting watch. A few more entertainment based films such as The Sixth Sense and the lesser known Wind Chill have utilised it but this film takes it and expands on the theory with equally disturbing ideas.
Cricket Funny for a movie all about death it made me think of and celebrate life. I don't want to give much away.. at all...but this is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I found all of the characters very believable. I especially related to Isla as a broken woman searching for belonging. Amazing the lengths to which grief can make us go. I will think about this movie for a long time to come. I do want to address the idea of the afterlife and while I am a Christian I tend to be very open minded about what exactly is out there. I do think that some people with the same faith as mine may not find this movie as good as I did as the ideas proposed would clash with their belief systems. I will close by saying I loved the love story in this and the ending was perfect.
