Steve Byrne: The Byrne Identity Trailers

Steve Byrne has established himself as one of the premier stand-up comedians of his generation. In his second one hour special, Steve asks the universal question "Who are you?" The result is a poignant, inventive, and immensely funny look at how we identify ourselves in America.

Reviews
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Anoushka Slater While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
dzzhrurg2 I'm impressed--Steve Byrne is hilarious. I loved this performance all the way through. He used plenty of the expected racial stereotype humor (since he's half Korean and half Irish) but had tons of other material he drew on.I now have to track down older routines he's done. This one was good enough that I would easily pay money to see him if he comes to town on tour; I enjoyed this one much more than the last time I saw Seinfeld. It's rather sad that the smartest people in public life end up in comedy (see Chris Rock, Harry Shearer, George Carlin...). I only wish we had somebody with this kind of brains running the country instead of making us laugh.
