Reviews
2hotFeature one of my absolute favorites!
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
maxmages I know myself that the movie is only there to entertain and have fun but unfortunately the movie is not entertaining and if you have to put your brain in standby mode to enjoy it is bad.I know it's strange to criticize a trash movie and it's super crazy to even think about choosing one from The Asylum. But this one is not different because this movie was not a trash but the ultimate junk, I love you Janeiro movies which are funnier than anything by Ben Stiller more exciting than 90% of the action movies of the past 10 years and are not focused on their computer effects they know how horrible they look. It hurts me to say that because I love the Sharknado movies and I do not want to have ten, yes, ten movie parts but I can not talk about that positively, it's mainly because of the horrible script. But not even a screenplay by Tarantino could save this lousy attitude, not even Spielberg could beautify these ideas and the amount of blond Botox bimbos would be an overdose even for Michael Bay. But this part has not succeeded at all because firstly it is not fun secondly makes no sense and thirdly has no suspense.Only the hour consists only of cameo appearances, introductions of new characters who are killed by sharks after 1 to 3 minutes, a few nice references to the old parts but unfortunately without any reason but to top it off, we are now in film parody land arrived because As good as nothing in this film is still original everything is stolen from another movie and unfortunately only from good movies that's why it feels shabby. Worst of all, I find that this part deentwickelt our characters. Shark net you never had any big story arcs or Oscar actors but they always worked with what they had this time they have nothing and make even less of all the characters that were bed before or at least bed it seem to come from. People do not come around in an ingenious or entertaining way about the life of the demand I wonder if even the authors have lost the desire for it or why we always see the same sharks there are about ... 1000 marry like it would be with even more sharks or a new one Shark species? there are so many remakes, reboots and so on where are the original never the new stuff even Schack net has now been infected with it.What I find worst is that I joked about how long Finn 's son Chanel drives you around and that he' s probably going to get out of it as an old man, a movie has to be surprising and exciting never good if he has exactly the end what you in the first 5 minutes shoots through the head because I did not mean the end but seriously, it is in two ways underpowering. Every two minutes, some B or C celebrity arrives for a ridiculous in cameo appearance which, however, can not be enjoyed because they just babble or die right away. Talking about dying, that's the main reason why you can not enjoy this movie because even the main characters and everyone who cares, including Finn's family, has to bite the grass until the end of one of the stupid Deus Ex Machina of movie history, all Shark will net it the world stopped at the same time caused by our heroes at all and the whole world sets the rubble and looks like 9/11 high 21 and after finding the AB separate heads of his robot wife by the area troll suddenly turns up his son (70 Years old) has again managed to build a time machine and the movie ends on a cliffhanger. So I love Dolph Lundgren but that was only for me in the big disappointment I hope that in the next part he won at least the whole movie on Finns side against Hai that I would like to look at. As a German citizen I like to see so many German celebrities in a non-German movie even if it was just Camoes I had my fun, however, I can not even begin to understand the huge advertising and PR behind it understand. So my conclusion is unfortunately not good, there are so many parodies that it is hard to discover the glue that holds the basic idea together, the music is so minimal that it is virtually non-existent, the digital effects are under all sow, however, for one TV movie bearable but we must not forget that is V part and even if I had not seen the other parts, I expected a bit more. The whole movie is a scavenger hunt and a pike routes run before the Great Danger which, however, ends in a literal ten seconds of Climax and the end is pretty much tried and so depressing. However, what I am most afraid of is: in the sequel Thanks to the time travel aspect, all the decisions I made are made and thus the events from the first part looked to be coming into force.
Jackson Booth-Millard The film was rubbish, the second film was terrible, the third film was awful, and the fourth film was crap, the TV-made Sharknado series is simply an excuse to make the trashiest movies possible, but I'm a critic, and it would feel almost rude to ignore the next instalment. Basically there has been a short period of peace, but the "sharknado" crisis is now global, Nova Clarke (Cassandra 'Cassie' Scerbo) has formed a group, Sharknado Sisters, to find and stop this phenomenon. Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) joins her on an expedition, in England, going beneath ground where Stonehenge is located, there they discover a key element in the cause of the sharknados, a prehistoric shark fin piece, with supernatural powers. But by removing this artefact, they unintentionally cause sharknadoes to start reappearing all over the world, starting in London, England, where Fin's now bionic wife April (Tara Reid) and young son Gil (Billy Barratt) are located. Things worsen when Gil is sucked into the heart of the brutal cyclone, they establish from a tracker that he is alive, but is unclear if he will ever be brought out of the storm. Fin is sure that the mission to keep tracking the sharknadoes is impossible, especially as the storm goes all over the world to different locations, but the magic shark fin piece he and Nova found has the ability to teleport them from place to place. Fin, April and others go all over the world following the storms, going to Sydney, Australia; the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt; Tokyo, Japan; South China Sea; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Rome, Italy. Fin and April's older son Matt (Cody Linley) does everything he can to help, but Nova is killed in the chaos, as are many other people around the world, either squashed or eaten by the falling predators, or killed by the many structures destroyed. In the end, Fin uses the magical stone to zap away the shark infested typhoons, it appears as if Gil did not escape, but then a mature Gil (Dolph Lundgren) appears, he used the power of the stone to preserve himself and travel back in time, they reunite after the storm has subsided. Also starring Yanet Garcia as Chara, Porsha Williams as Andromeda, Chris Kattan as Prime Minister, Clay Aiken as Llewelyn, Samantha Fox as Ms. Moore, Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins, Laura Tobin, Louie Spence as Calvin the Clerk, Katie Price as Connery, Bret Michaels, Tom Daley, Charo as The Queen, Lucy Pinder as Swedish Ambassador, Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols as Secretary General Starr, Casey Batchelor as Lady Anne, Luisa Zissman as The Duchess, Anthony C. Ferrante as Dundee, Olivia Newton-John as Orion, Spencer Matthews as Sailor Dan, Caprice Bourret as Polaris, Tony Hawk as The Hawk, Tiffany Pollard as Vega, Fabio as The Pope, Margaret Cho as Simone, Dan Fogler, Kathie Lee Gifford, Al Roker, Gilbert Gottfried as Ron Mcdonald, Jedward (John and Edward Grimes) as Tourists and Ingrid van Bergen as Talk Show Guest. It's pretty pointless mentioning the acting in it, well known faces not taking themselves or the project seriously, like the other four films it is deliberately trashy and absurd, the special effects are cheap and unconvincing, I did like it being set in London, England (in my home country), I may have tittered a little because of some deliberate obvious spoof references, e.g. Indiana Jones, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Star Trek, "Let's Get Physical", Back to the Future, and of course how ridiculous and idiotic it is, another sequel not to bother with, an unintelligent science-fiction horror. Poor!
Paul Magne Haakonsen As much as I enjoy campy movies, a genre that the "Sharknado" movies definitely fall under, then I must say that the movie have gradually been slipping down a steep hill with each passing movie. And this 5th installment to the franchise is the worst one of the movie so far."Sharknado 5: Global Swarming" is a movie that spoofs many other movies, but it fails to do so in a particularly good or funny manner, and that results in the movie becoming strained and forced, and it is clear that director Anthony C. Ferrante is trying to make the audience laugh, but fails to do so in a proper way.The characters in the movie, particularly Fin (played by Ian Ziering) and April (played by Tara Reid) are now jokes and parodies on themselves and their characters in the previous movies. Which makes for a somewhat bitter pill to swallow. Especially the April character whom has turned into a cyborg with superhero-like powers. The dialogue is just downright atrocious in "Sharknado 5: Global Swarming". Mind you, it hasn't exactly been Shakespearian dialogue in the previous movies either, but it is exceptionally poor in this fifth installment in the franchise. It feels like even the main cast have given up because the movie has reached an unfathomable level of ridiculousness. What did work out well enough for the movie was the amount of cameo appearances that took place throughout the course of the movie. Lots of familiar faces to spot, so be on the lookout for those."Sharknado 5: Global Swarming" is a weak movie in itself and also as an addition to the franchise. If you have watched the previous four movies, you might find some enjoyment in the fifth movie as well. Personally, I didn't really enjoy this one as much as the previous ones to various degree. The ending of the movie, albeit it was so unfathomably corny and cheesy that it was painful to witness, then it was still a fun twist to the movie. It was incredibly stupid, yes, but I must admit that I found myself to be chuckling at that twist to the storyline as it made so little sense for the storyline.Perhaps it is time to let Fin and his cyborg ex-wife rest and have the Sharknados ebb out and die...
Michael Ledo The silliness of the SyFy/Asylum iconic series of films continue with the sharknados going global. If you have seen one in the series, you will have a pretty good idea what is going on. Tara Reid is bionic. The film spoofs and homages were numerous such as James Bond, Indian Jones, Back to the Future, The Road, and a bunch that I missed. Don't worry if you missed one, another is on the way. Note the "Monty Python" foot during the end of the opening credits.Highlights include: Nichelle Nichols doing lines from Star Trek. Olivia Newton John telling Tara Reid not to get too physical. Bret Michaels providing double decker bus swagger music. Sasha Cohen from 'Blades of Glory" plays a skater. Fabio as Pope, and Charo as the Queen of England. Singer/page 3 model Samatha Fox plays Ms. Moore of the MI6. Geraldo Rivera opens a small safe and nothing is there.Benjy Bronk plays in his fourth Sharknado film as a different person each time. This time he is a reporter named "Howard Beale" from the classic film "Network." Yes the names are all genius too, and I admit I missed a few references and movie lines. I didn't even come close to getting them all. What is unfortunate is that unless someone wakes up from a dream, this appears to be the final film.
