It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Brennan Camacho
Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

The sixth movie of the "Saw" franchise has the usual ingredients that fans of the series enjoy: traps that lead to gory deaths that will make the audience cringe and probably laugh, rapid-fire cuts in editing, a fast pace, and the surprise twists at the end. Although Jigsaw (played by Tobin Bell) is dead, he makes appearances through flashbacks and causes pain and suffering via his last wishes that is given to his wife and Costas Mandylor, who plays a dirty cop who continues the work of making people suffer and die for not appreciating their lives — apparently, being a smoker or a secretary to an insurance company is enough to put you in one of the traps. As Mandylor carries on the brutal games, the F.B.I. comes close to revealing who the new Jigsaw is, forcing Mandylor's hand to prevent this from happening. My most memorable, movie moment of "Saw VI" is the scene when Shawnee Smith's character is revealed to have some connection with what happened to Jigsaw's unborn child — a connection that will lead to some of the crucial moments of this movie.Making most of the victims in "Saw VI" health insurance workers was an interesting way to try to get the audience to get more emotionally involved in the story. After all, isn't it more fun to see characters you hate suffer? Despite this and the extra revelations of how some major characters are connected with the others, this series is well past retirement age. But as long as it is profitable, Hollywood will prop it up on walkers and an oxygen tank and put it to work again.Mannysmemorablemoviemoments

Okay. First of all, the atmosphere in this movie is spot on. The music is so well put together. Everything else... just a huge disappointment and much worse than Saw V.THE TRAPS: There was probably one trap in this film that I actually LIKED, which was the first trap you see. It was really creative and had a very sinister feeling to it.However, the rest were just as boring as the ones in Saw V. My least favorite was the Shotgun Marry Ago Around. This trap looks SO RETARDED! Why a Marry Ago Around first of all? And why A shotgun? Not only shotguns aren't very horrific, but the fact that six people have to survive just ONE... is just lame!THE PLOT: GOOD GRIEF! The plot made absolute ZERO sense! It felt like they were trying to rush for some answers to previous questions without thinking about what actually happened in the franchise. Jigsaw avoids every single pattern he made in the previous films. He went from "death is distasteful" to "in order to survive, someone needs to die". Why would Jigsaw give the player a rule to kill someone? Some might say that Hoffman made the rules, but JIGSAW is the one explaining them on the TV screens!Amanda's letter is also "revealed" in this film; I disagree with this statement by the way. The letter does not follow any of the patterns in Saw III. First of all, that movie already GIVES you the reasoning why Amanda shot Lynn in the first place! She did that because she felt like Jigsaw was betraying her for Lynn. Now there's a completely different reasoning that makes no sense!THE ENDING: A very disappointing ending. Basically William gets killed by some kid for rejecting his dad's coverage. HOW DOES THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE TEST?! William was supposed to finish his game before time was up, only to find out that IT'S NOT HIS GAME...?! What was he supposed to learn from all of that, and again, why would Jigsaw give the option to KILL William? I thought "Killing is distasteful".God this film is compete garbage! I'm so upset that my favorite franchise is falling off the hill so rapidly!

More violence and new traps for what just to create a bloody mess and what have these people done with jigsaws character he kill random people for fun please he is not joker from DC comics who just needs a reason to mess with batman knowing batman will kick his butt OK lets say his killings are great but why is that he need to pick out some of the lamest people in the city who are not even that rich and kill them it would be awesome if jigsaw kill some bigger hard to reach man like president or someone i personally say jigsaw is a very underrated villain his victims are limited but his crazy mind games are definitely too much bigger for these lame people to fall through they are not worth getting killed by jigsaw. The cast features some of the most good looking actors like Athena Karkanis,Shawnee Smith makes a comeback she was great once again,Tobin Bell got wasted sad to see this talented man is stuck with horror films rest cast is hot babes worth watching. The Plot:Jigsaw creates one final plan FBI is chasing Hoffman but Jill is onto something that will change everything. This was totally boring for me the first 3 films left some serious mark on my memory that i totally recommend those to any horror fan specially beginners this 6th installment fails to leave any impact on the viewer.Overall Saw 6:2009 was just made to make cash and not tell a decent story if you are a hardcore saw fan then do watch this otherwise stay away my rating is 3/10.

I found Parts II, III and IV of the Saw series increasingly tedious, so much so that I left it six years before watching Part V. I was pleasantly surprised, then, to (eventually) find that the fifth instalment marked a turning point, the plot-line becoming a bit more interesting with Agent Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) taking on the mantle of Jigsaw, the gore being even more graphic, and the makers clearly taking matters with a welcome pinch of salt (the extreme nature of some of the gruesome traps bordering on self-parody). I was having fun at last. The series continues to improve with Part VI, which develops the Hoffman character further, ladles on even more revolting splatter, and steadfastly refuses to get bogged down with trifling matters such as the cash, time, and skill required to build such amazing methods of torture. Part VI simply gets on with entertaining the fans, with a twisty-turny narrative and bucket-loads of the red stuff. This time around, Jigsaw has assembled a group of despicable life-insurance business-people, and proceeds to teach them that choosing between life and death should not be an easy decision to make. As a result, bodies are blasted, crushed, hung, and, in the film's most revolting scene, melted from the inside with a highly corrosive acid. Meanwhile, the F.B.I. are closing in on Hoffman, although Kramer's wife Jill Tuck (Betsy Russell) also has a surprise in store for the deviant agent. Rather surprisingly, this satisfyingly sick chapter has left me looking forward to more Saw.7.5/10, rounded up to 8 for IMDb.
