Waste of Money.

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Dirtylogy
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Brooklynn
There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

Gotta say, I got a real big kick outta ROBOTRIX. I'm a pretty big CATIII fan in general, and it's kinda surprising that I just got around to this one. I've had it in the "to watch" pile for probably about a year now, but just haven't had a chance to really mess with it. I'm glad I finally got around to it though, cuz although it definitely isn't one of the "best of the best" of the genre, it IS one of the more fun entries, and is definitely up there as far as CATIII "must-sees" are concerned. The plot for this one is pretty convoluted and hard to explain - but who cares, it's about cyborg chicks, right???Female police officer Lin is gunned down in the line of duty during an oil sheik's son's kidnapping. Just so happens that there are some pretty new advances in cyborg technology in this "futuristic" world (where the 1991 time-stamp of the film really looks like 1983...), and it is now possible to transfer human thoughts into identical cyborg bodies (but ONLY after the human dies - for some unknown reason). This procedure is done to officer Lin because the freako that kidnapped the oil sheik's son is also a cyborg-maker and has just transferred his thoughts into his own cyborg in order to make himself an unstoppable killing/raping machine so that the oil sheik will comply with his wishes to fund a cyborg "legion". With me so far??? Didn't think so. Anyway - with the help of the local police, Dr. Sara (the cyborg expert who transferred Lin's body into her cyborg "twin"), and Anna (Dr. Sara's smokin' hot cyborg assistant) - Lin and company take off after the rogue cyborg in hopes of stopping his reign of murdery/rapey terror...Yeah - hard to sum this one up in a few lines. Honestly, I think it would be hard to sum this one up in a small novel. The plot is all over the place and really doesn't make a whole lotta sense when you sit and think about it - but who the hell cares??? We have super-hot cyborg chicks, a rape and violence obsessed nemesis, and enough cheezy/sleazy situations to keep this one fun all the way through. My only real gripe is that Anna (played by Amy Yip) obviously has the hottest rack of the bunch and does not show them off once! This is pretty much unforgivable in my book (especially in a film where the nudity is pretty plentiful...) and drops the overall score at least a 1/2 point in my book. Some truly choice scenes in ROBOTRIX though - including a hooker-rape-to-window-disposal, a few decent gore scenes including a few beheadings and some other fun stuff, and a decent amount of soft-core (though somewhat non-exceptional) sex and nudity. Definitely recommended for all CATIII and B-movie fans - others will find it too goofy to handle...7.5/10

Not horror as such, but science fiction / action / adult comedy, this Category III film from Hong Kong is a definite beer and snacks movie. Although it may not be to everybody's taste, it's a fun movie for the most part (as is the case with many HK films, the humour can border on the tasteless). The basic premise of the film is that a rather fetching and sexy lady agent has her mind transferred into the body of a robot following a shooting, thus becoming the ultimate sexy super-hero. Imagine "Robocop" meets "Charlie's Angels" with an adult touch and you've got the idea! The budget's not massive (and it shows) but it's worth watching if you're in the mood for something light after a more sober movie.

"Robotrix" is like a Russ Meyer movie with robots and futuristic hardware. It is not terribly well made and it is totally confusing, but it is never boring -- not the uncut version, anyway. There is a graphic rape scene that is scissored from some versions, so make sure you see the film in its glorious uncut state. Mammary-heavy Amy Yip is "Robotrix", a Robocop-like creation who is enlisted to hunt down a renegade robot that goes haywire. Despite Yip's reputation as a sex goddess, she was quite coy about her body in most HK movies (the great "Erotic Ghost Story" excepted). In this occasionally sleazy outing, the nudity honors go to the stunning Chikako Aoyama, a woman with a body to render non-stop chatterboxes speechless.

If you gave a room full of college-aged males a small budget and a film-camera, this movie is likely what they'd come up with. It has everything the hormone-addled male brain would ever need - naked female kung-fu robots. The amount of gratuitous (ie. not integral to the story) T and A in this movie is simply spectacular, not that there's anything wrong with that. And the fact that the A's and T's being exposed just happen to belong to two of the most popular Hong Kong Category III actresses just adds to the attraction. If Mystery Science Theatre 3000 were on HBO, this would be the movie they'd pick for the premiere episode.Highly reccomended, provided of course the wife, kids and neighbors are safely out of the room.
