In other words, this film is a surreal ride.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Yash Wade
Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Jenni Devyn
Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

Eileen Daly, as Razor Blade Smile's sexy vampire assassin Lilith Silver, sure looks the part: she has long black hair, pale white skin, blood red lips, a butt you could bounce £2 coins off, and cheekbones that are almost as impressive as her cleavage (and boy, is that impressive!). The problem is, whilst she might look like a Gothboy's wet dream, all clad in figure-hugging rubber and sporting a massive pair of fangs, as an actress, she sucks more than her character does (and Lilith does a LOT of sucking!!!).Still, she's in good company: pretty much everyone else in this low-budget horror romp is dreadful as well. Writer/director Jake West clearly isn't concerned too much about decent performances, instead hoping that his deliberately cliché-ridden action sequences, iffy script (replete with camp dialogue and intentionally dreadful one-liners), steamy soft-core sex scenes, and use of cheap gore effects will find help find his feature length debut an audience amongst those who love their films trashy and bloody.Unfortunately, the film just isn't as much fun as West wishes it was: the over-theatricality of the performances, the hip MTV-style editing, the poorly choreographed fights, and the lame humour all become very irritating, very quickly; the gore just isn't outrageous enough; and the script meanders aimlessly until eventually revealing a particularly lame twist ending. On a more positive note, West does display flair with some of his visuals: his opening credits sequence is a stylish take on Maurice Binder's famous Bond titles; his use of the camera is often innovative, with brave use of unusual angles and movement, and sparing use of reasonable CGI; and the guy sure knows how to make the most of his striking star, giving viewers plenty of chances to ogle her shapely body.4.5 out of 10, rounded up to 5 for IMDb.

Just as the whole cast and crew knows f*** all about film making. This film concerns the adventures and predicaments of a modern day cockney vampire assassin, and an age old spat with her seemingly jaded vampire lover. That plot in itself reeks of clichés and promises of boredom when on as small a scale a film as this, and that's exactly what you get.First off let me say that I by no means dismiss films because they are B movies, in fact some of my favourite films are B movies such as Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter, but this one misses the mark by a mile.Anyone with any knowledge of small budget films will know that the acting is rarely gripping and emotional, but Razor Blade Smile creates a whole new dimension of hamming it up on screen. Some of the so called acting is just indescribably bad, with characters spewing cheesy one liners that fall flat, and discourse expressing about as much emotion and conviction as the terminator after a couple of horse tranquillisers.A vast portion of the film is also taken up by the vampiric characters, the protagonist in particular, unnecessarily flapping their mouths, showing off their ridiculously large vampire teeth and exhaling very loudly. It literally must happen in almost every scene at least once, and quickly became annoying and pointless, as if that many looks of slack jawed supposedly scary vampire faces were used to merely fill a little bit of time and pad out the rest of this turd sandwich of a film.Contrary to what some of the other reviewers believe on here, I feel this film (the director in particular) is really trying to take this film seriously in many parts. The sheer number of overly dramatic action shots and extreme close-ups seems to indicate to me that the director really wanted people to feel this film and make it legitimate to its genre and not spoof it, and he fails miserably. The attempts at supposedly tasteful sex scenes come out as comic and silly and the action sequences are sometimes just plain stupid. Also the ending of this film was one of the weakest and most pathetic conclusions I have seen to a film, B movie or not. When films such as this force you to sit through hours of themselves only to be rewarded with a "oh it was all a game" ending it is actually sickening. It the conclusion to the "plot" feels like an afterthought of the director that he figured out on the last day of shooting because they had run to the end of their shoestring budget. But I have not rated this film as one star despite the overwhelming crappiness, and this is because of the only plus point I can really give this film. Intentionally or not, it was funny. I am fairly sure the parts I found humorous were not intended to be, and I found most of the efforts at genuine gags to be fruitless, but when watched with friends it is a good film to take the mickey out of.

Yes, the acting is broad (I think this is deliberate), and not all the characters act logically, but it was fun. Gorgeous women (I really can't judge as to the men in this film), blood and guts, sex and kink, interesting art direction, plot twists, and the good time enjoyed by the cast transmitted into my living room.I have always thought that Bram Stoker was a shill for the "real" vampires, providing false information about their abilities, weaknesses, and what would be fatal to them. This movie gives a much better story for these things, although there are a few analogies to other movies and TV shows which shall here remain nameless. If/when I write a vampire or werewolf story this film will be an inspiration to me.I love the locations, too, especially the manor for the beginning and ending, and the rock formations for the hostage resolution. And London, of course, is London.Overall I enjoyed this; if you have a sense of irony you will too.

Bad, bad, bad movie. shame on you. If there are real vampires, run, they want payback. If you are thinking about watching this dreck, please reconsider, if only for the children. Everytime this movie is watched terrible things eat the wings off angels.I may seem to be rambling, it is the result of the movie.I watched it, ran to the bathroom, got sick from the bad acting, then came here to post my views. So if one person doesn't decide to watch this crap then my pain was not in vain. Please pardon the pun. I would say more but this movie has driven me mad. I'm going to jump.
