An action-comedy combining elements from Sammo Hung's "Lucky Stars" movie series and Karl Maka's "Aces Go Places" series would have been incredible and potentially great. However, this movie did not meet that expectation, as it had no solid plot - just a bunch of silly, tasteless and goofy nonsensical humor one after the other, making the movie dull, repetitive and non-suspenseful.The original "Lucky Stars" characters weren't in the movie much to begin with, and the rest of the actors weren't as memorable or remarkable as in the first three films. Jackie Chan and Biao Yuen were sorely missing from the movie, and Karl Maka and Sylvia Chang from the Aces Go Places movies weren't utilized enough. The plot about Kidstuff (Sammo Hung) being asked by the police to investigate an international ammunition trade between two gangs appears to be rehashed from previous films and the subplot of the rookie cops trying to woo a female cop in a house they're sharing is the same ol' joke. There some actions scenes here and there, but the bad acting and tasteless humor made this the worst movie of the "Lucky Stars" series.Grade D---

Yes it's another lucky stars film the original cast appearing for 2 minutes was a disappointment but in places I was actually laughing my arse off. No point explaining the plot but here goes, a crack team of imbeciles is put together to rob some Japanese gangsters of some gems or something while trying to grope their extremely attractive tutor any way they can. I'm not normally a lover of the slapstick stuff but it is rather amusing plus the last fight is well done. 6/10Standout moment After trying to separate a married couple squabbling Karl Maka is told his girlfriend is having lunch with Sammo so he tells the husband to beat his wife up he heeds this advice and kicks her flying getting the thumbs up from baldy.overall this is a stupid film but that's what it's aiming for....

This is the kind of movie which is very common to see in 80's made-in-Hongkong films. No in-depth discussion, everything is plain and clear to understand. Actors/actresses always try to do something unfunny to make us laugh. And yes, they all master Kung-fu and kick bad guys' ass.To me, the most impressive part of this movie, is this gorgeous babe "Yum Yum"(a character by Maria Tung Ling). I even think they produced this movie just to show us her cute face and big behind. After all, it is not quite worth your time. But if you are on summer holiday and can't find too much things to do. It's still not bad to take a look at how these dudes poke Yum Yum's boobs.

First off no Jackie Chan or Biao Yuen. Secondly, apart from Sammo Hung, the original 'lucky stars' appear for only five minutes. Which is just as well as this is a real turkey. It's a pity Samo didn't have the same foresight as the others.Basically it's the same plot as the other films in the series. The police mess up an undercover operation, so bizarrely they turn to Samo Hung and his unlawful for help. It's still unclear why the police would recruit five con men to help them. Samo asks his pals but they're not interested so he has to recruit five new lucky stars. Five hopeless policemen (including a young Andy Lau). They then proceed to share a house, bicker amongst themselves, a beautiful female cop moves in to train them whilst they play tricks on her to get her into bed. This is supposed to be a comedy but it's mind-numbingly and shockingly unfunny. Jokes in bad taste like domestic violence against a wife, rape of a 50 year old housekeeper, a bizarre game of Russian roulette, even an Alsatian dog gets shot. It's pretty dire. The first half hour of the film is particularly painful watch. I cannot help but think Samo Hung must be throughly ashamed and embarrassed of this film. The only two scenes worth watching is when we first meet Andy Lau during a combat training exercise in an abandoned building and the fight scene at the end with the young Japanese villain. Also a small scene where Samo has a fight in a padded cell.Other than that this film is pure garbage.
