Reviews
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Ogosmith Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Stephan Hammond It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Aspen Orson There is definitely an excellent idea hidden in the background of the film. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find it.
FreedomWatchTower A Movie filled with known Story, Plot devices and Atmosphere, or as one Reviewer put it "The Crazies in Space". While this might be true in some fashion or another it oversimplifies the whole experience, if one would describe it with 3 Movies you could say it kind of is a mix of "Alien" (1979) (for most of the Atmosphere and corporate business critique on a Ship, and Sending a Team to check whats going on), "The Thing" (1982) (for its Paranoia between the main characters, and whose actions are driven by it) & "The Signal" (2007) (& Last but not least this little Horror Indie Gem, for its Signal that drives people into Psychotic Maniacs attacking each other). The biggest complain i have with this Film is that while not being the most unique Film of its genre, it sure shows its potential, because you can see from the get-go that the Movie suffers from a way too tiny Budget. You can see it on the Sets, on the sfx and even hear it on its Score, but still with all the cheap looking sets you can see what could have been if the minuscule Budget of 800K was pushed to 5 Million. There are lots of Scenes where you can see the Beauty in Lighting and Color, Camera movements and even some acted out Scenes by the protagonists and their conflicts. Another complain is the Actor of the Main-Character, while he is not the best actor (and not that bad either) there still are a couple of scenes where he overreacts or simply reacts a certain way which does not really suit the Scene (this could also be put on the Directors corner), This Actor would have been better suited if he had a different Role. Its not the most original Work, but it is hard to come by a decent Scifi Flick at this day and Age, so if you are a Hardcore Scifi Horror Fan, suit yourself and enjoy the Ride, as for my part i enjoyed the Film and em looking forward to what the Director is working on in the Future and hope that he will work himself up to a Point where he gets a Higher Budget to which he can better tell a Story.
banglainey Everything about this movie is worth watching. The only reason I gave it a 9 out of 10 is because the beginning and the end are kind of hard to follow. I had to watch some parts more than once just to make sure I was understanding the story, but besides that, overall it's great. Great acting, an original story, taking place in a sci-fi setting but then veering into a horror/survival theme movie, it was excellent. I enjoyed every minute of it. It made me think of other classical sci-fi films I have enjoyed, and was even reminiscent of some sci-fi/horror video games I've played.Don't let the low rating scare you away, you won't regret watching this one!
thekarmicnomad A team of marine types have to jump to a distant outpost to prevent a scientist who has lost his mind launching a bomb at Earth. The plot is fairly basic but works well and gets our characters out to a spooky space station where something has gone horribly wrong. It is hard not to compare this to "Event Horizon" or "Ghosts of Mars"The film is made on a tight budget but brilliantly executed. The acting is very good and the production is very efficient.A portion of this film is concerned with mental instability, and some of the best performances are of characters that have clearly lost their mind. I personally am not a fan of craziness and watching people "carrying-on" so I got a bit bored with it.But just because this isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean you won't like it. A solid enough low budget SciFi - just spends too much time in people's heads for me.
Prismark10 Moon and Ex Machina are two films that have shown what can be achieved with a great idea and a low budget.Infini has a low budget and a low rent screenplay which is incomprehensible and it shows. Too much of the film reminds you of Event Horizon, Aliens, The Thing but those films were better and had a bigger budget.Whit (Daniel MacPherson) leaves his loving wife behind to go on a dangerous and well paid teleport mission in a galactic outpost where a search and rescue mission goes wrong. The planet is made of some kind of alien biological material which infects its human inhabitants and they later display a violent blood lust. This primordial ooze could be heading for earth and wipe out the entire planet. The film is murky and dark. It might be set in the 23rd century but their are a lot of F bombs dropped by the cast who also resort to increasing violence in the second half of the film. Uninteresting and uninspired.
