Reviews
Diagonaldi Very well executed
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Payno I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
don charlotte I'm a Christian and enjoy Christian films. That said, this isn't particularly "Christian" (in a theological sense) and isn't a great "film." Way too many long sequences with dramatic music--for no real reason-overtake the film. Neither the Bible nor the Gospel are set as the primary catalyst for character change. The acting is okay, but not good or great. Cinematography leaves much to be desired with odd angles and lengthy focuses on characters.I don't want to be harsh, but at the time of my watching the movie, it had an IMDB rating of 7.2. That made me think it'd been decent-to-good. It was neither. I know Christian cinema has gotten better and still has a way to go, but there better films where you can get past mediocre acting and low-budget within the Christian genre (ie., Fireproof, Courageous, War Room)
reillerdvm If there is a little over an hour and a half of your life that you don't mind wasting, and never being able to get back, then go ahead and watch this movie. The acting is awful. There are no inspired moments.Bluntly, this may be the dumbest movie that I have ever watched, and I regret that I stuck with it until the end.
