He even dances and He jokes with his disciples. Jeremy Sisto is outstanding as Jesus. Excellent special effects and costumes of the age. We see the Sermon on the Mount, the many temptations of Satan (as a man and as a woman), the selection of the Apostles, the Last Super and of course the brutal Crucifixion and His Resurrection. This movie is like no other you've seen about Jesus Christ.The TV teleplay is written by Suzette Couture and directed by Roger Young. An all-star cast that also features: Debra Messing, Jacqueline Bisset, Gary Oldman, G.W. Bailey, David O'Hara, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Luca Zingaretti, Stephanie Rocca, Claudio Amendola and Joroen Krabbe.

laurenjunghwa I think that this movie clearly depicted the life of Jesus, from birth to resurrection. I think that it gave a lot more insight of the life of Jesus, and it gave me a better understanding of the significance of the laws God wanted his people to abide by. The laws taught humans how to be humans, and it continues to help people realize how to convert their negative emotions and consciousness into something positive. It was evident that Jesus' main priority was to try and install a goodness within people, he spread God's will and touch as many hearts as possible. Despite the evil intentions of others, especially in the movie where the devil came and tempted Jesus, he still retained a sense of purity within him. I think it was significant for me to watch this movie because I understand what my Grandparents stand for. I also used to think that Christianity was an illusion, as there was no verification of the existence of Christ. But now that i've watched this movie, I understand how much his teachings effected others and how Christians do not need evidence to know that Jesus existed, they rely on faith.

hamsapsifu Some good points, but many bad points too...The actor who plays Jesus - strong and likable. The actor who plays a good Jewish priest, actually he doesn't say much, he just stands there crying/watching. Just thought his look, looked really genuine.The Crucifixion scene - very strong and incredible gripping, terrifying, it also show the historical correct way how people were crucified; nails in writs instead of palms, carrying of the short crossbeam only, not the whole cross. Also the screaming was very terrifying/gripping and brought tears to my eyes. The second Satan scene, just before the trials/Crucifixion scenes, is very strong and interesting. ("In the name of Jesus") Jesus just having fun, goofing around parts. Nice and refreshing.But there are many many weak points:Acting, a LOT of bad acting/bad actors. Overall direction is not very good or just bad most of the times.Overall the movie is very weak, but is somewhat redeemed by the very strong second Satan and Crucifixion scenes. Which were incredibly gripping and touching.Thanks for reading.
