adonis98-743-186503 The life, success and troubles of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as told by Antonio Salieri, the contemporary composer who was insanely jealous of Mozart's talent and claimed to have murdered him. Despite a well known and charismatic cast 'Amadeus' is no different than any other film from the Top 250 since it's just as bad and horrible and doesn't belong to be in here anyways. The acting wasn't that good, the storyline mostly forgettable and the running time just absurd since it was 3 freaking hours long. Definitely not recommending it at all. (0/10)

merelyaninnuendo AmadeusAll the music based sequences is shot beautifully and set accordingly and wisely by the makers as it was a major part of the protagonist, and plays a major role in the tale too and is not just another tool that works behind the camera. It is rich on technical aspects like costume design, production design, background score, make-up design and editing. The script is elaborate, satisfying and justified thoroughly through the complex character's perspective whose narration is the window of writer where it can be and is brutally honest and clears up all that is hoax and distraction. Peter Shaffer; the writer, has done an appreciative work on writing this finely detailed script that is full of tactics but is surpassed by its brilliant execution by Milos Forman whose work pays off well in here. The performance objective is scored majestically by F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce, in their parallel role are doing some of their best work. The build up to the scrutiny of the politics in here is the key that is developed well enough to lure the audience in. Amadeus dances on the beat rhythmically and stay true to the tone of the feature for around 160 minutes, which doesn't happen often.

The director's cut version is even better (that's where the 10 stars are for), describes many useful details that are missed in the original version (which is marvelous either way). The historical accuracy is something that no one can actually verify today, but the whole storytelling procedure is very consistent. A major plus is the marvelous performance of F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce, where I honestly cannot tell who is better from the other and give the Oscar to.

It is a masterpiece of the highest caliber, a film that flows like a gentle stream on a midsummer's eve as angels dance in the softly moonlit sky. It also has fart jokes. There is not a moment that feels unnecessary or tedious, there is nothing to add or subtract as this film is, like the finest of Mozart's operas, a pitch perfect masterpiece. The performances are astonishing and often humorous, the script is filled with wit and intrigue, the cinematography is astounding, dropping the viewer in the middle of the 18th century in a manner that is enjoyable for the most modern of audiences, and the music is, of course, brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant, BRILLIANT!-a word that describes this film with total accuracy. It is not only a brilliant film, it is a brilliant film about brilliant people, and the entire concept of brilliance itself. It is a celebration of one of the most brilliant artists ever to grace the world, and it captures his struggles, triumphs, comedies, and tragedies in a manner that is no less than BRILLIANT!
