Alizée Pouiol This comment is not about rating the movie. I think there is a huge problem with the parent's guide concerning the "sex and nudity" part. This is absolutely not appropriate for young people. So people must know before seeing this film that barely after starting the movie, we can hear a lot of sex references (teen talk), we see a naked giant doll with teen pretending to do sex with it, and a guy watching pornographic videos on his computer.

jacobjohntaylor1 The first Grave encounters movie was awful. And still it was better then this. This movie has an awful story line. It has an awful ending. It is not scary. It is just campy. I do not know why people like it. i do not know why it got a 5.2. I give it a 1 because it is a big pile of steaming poo poo. Do not wast your time. And do not waste your money do not see this movie. If you want see something scary see King Kong (1933). King Kong (1976) is also very scary. King Kong (2005) is also very scary. Kong skull island is also very scary. Son of Kong is also very scary. King Kong lives is also very scary. Godzilla is also very scary. Godzilla raids again is also very scary. But this is wast of time. It is also a wast money. Do not see it.

view_and_review As good as "Grave Encounters" was, "Grave Encounters 2" was that bad. It was a complete joke. You know a movie is bad when you're saying to yourself, "Won't they just hurry up and get killed so this nightmare can be over?" Every aspect of the film was a miserable failure.The story. "Grave Encounters" is an actual movie in the movie! Some film students decide to go to the location of "Grave Encounters" in order to "find out the truth." And the main character, Alex (Richard Harmon), is being directed by e-mails from a mysterious person named "Death Awaits".They used some absurd reason to drum up a part two. "Oh, lets go back to the creepy psych ward because it's all true and we have to prove it." So lame.The script. Cheap. Should've been flushed. The dialog in there was so sophomoric.The acting. Terrible. Part of the lure of the first "Grave Encounters" was the believability of it. Each character made sense and each character played their role well. In this movie these characters made zero sense and they put on like they were trying to be clichés.The directing. I'm going to blame this on directing because I don't know who else to blame. Once you've realized that you are no longer in Kansas Dorothy shouldn't the cameras be the least of your worries? Do you really need to continue to film EVERYTHING! And that's one of the serious drawbacks of found footage films. There comes a point when it doesn't even follow human behavior to keep filming things.The entire production. It was virtually a re-shoot of the first GE with a few little tweaks that were more harmful than helpful. There was nothing new (worth being in the movie), nothing fresh, nothing redeemable. It was lazy and pretty much like the majority of sequels: stale and uninspired.

bshaffer940 The first movie in the series was very good and original. If you watched the first grave encounters and hope to see a movie compare to it, your going to be disappointed. The movie leaves it open at the end which leaves audiences to believe that they will take one more stab at grave encounters, hopefully this time they go for it and finish with the magic they started with. In my opinion this movie is a pass, even for netflix subscribers. The biggest flaw with this movie is the 45 minute build up to the the point we're they actually enter the building from the first movie. The movie itself is only 90 minutes long, they will lose you well before they attempt to bring you back with some ghost like activity, which is also weaker than in the original movie.
