Cleveronix A different way of telling a story
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Matylda Swan It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
budikavlan Both shows were quickie sitcoms about pairs of African-American sisters who ran beauty parlors. S&S starred Loretta Devine in an early role as the older, more conservative sister to Vickilyn Reynolds. Both were overshadowed by more distinctive supporting characters played by Stephanie Hodge and Leslie Jordan (who would stand out ANYWHERE). This one was a quickie, a cheapie, and attracted very little attention. Pretty much everyone involved (with the exception of the late Dana Hill) has gone on to better things.
