Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
jedimack So, I thought it was just ok. As somebody who, before seeing this, was used to the whole 40 episodes for a season/super season and then new cast, so by seasons 2 or 3, I was getting a little tired of the cheesy-ness of MMPR. I think Power Rangers peaked at RPM and no season has been able to match. This is a brief review, but I think it's just meh. I would much rather watch RPM, SPD, or Dino Charge than this. But the fight scenes were good I guess, but I didn't really like the 3 show story of essentially the same rangers. So if you have to watch just ONE season, go with RPM.
broaded Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with it's idiotic 90s clothing, mullets, earrings, and goofy characters is nothing more than a second rate rip off of a long running Japanese kids show called Super Sentai which premiered over 40 years ago back in 1975.Power Rangers is nothing more than a crappy clone of that far superior kids show.Instead of highly intellectual Japanese super hero like those in Super Sentai,, Mighty Morphin Power Rnager takes your average dumb, 90s kid and fills them with the usual 90s hijinks such as goofy karate, and stupid one liners. If you want a great kids show watch Super Sentai shows like Liveman, and Zyuranger instead of his awful clone of a tv show! The Americanized Bandai power rangers are also second class, compared to the far superior Super Sentai action figures from Bandai, which are also worth far more in value these day.
ivo-cobra8 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993 - 1996) is my childhood favorite superhero TV show. Now 2017 Power Rangers reboot come out and I am so excited to see it, so I decide to re watch again the first three seasons again as I watched as a kid. Yes I am 90's kid and I was a mayor huge fan of this show. My first episode I watched was Happy Birthday, Zack which my class mate taped it for me and since than I kept watching the show. I come to Power Rangers Turbo and I hated that show because of a kid who was a blue ranger which I thought it was a stupid idea. The original power rangers will always be: Austin St. John, Thuy Trang, Walter Jones, Amy Jo Johnson, David Yost and Jason David Frank that will be the case no one else will be. The best rangers to me was always the Red Ranger, Pink Ranger and of course the Green Ranger. I loved the show so much that I even collected action figures I watched both of the movies and I taped episodes on VHS.I was disappointed with Season 2 in which Austin St. John, Walter Jones, Thuy Trang left the show and they were replaced by new actors Karan Ashley, Steve Cardenas and Johnny Yong Bosch. I know I should have quit watching but I have still watching till Ninja Quest episodes in which they become Ninja Rangers. I hated that Amy Jo Johnson left the show in season 3 Episode A Different Shade of Pink: Part III and was replaced by actress Catherine Sutherland who I thought sucked and I didn't care about that blond bimbo anyway.I love Austin St. John. as Jason Lee Scott the Red Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly Ann Hart the Pink Ranger, Thuy Trang as Trini Kwan the Yellow Ranger, Walter Jones as Zachary "Zack" Taylor the Black Ranger and of course Jason David Frank as Thomas "Tommy" Oliver as the Green Ranger not White only Green Ranger. I love Paul Schrier and Jason Narvy as Bulk and Skull, they were nemesis of the team rangers and they were bullies who always turned out to be a clowns and the show really had a lot of humor. But then they made other reboots with series like Power Rangers Zeo, Turbo ecc... and I don't remember other series and I don't care. I grew up watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers my favorite Season with episodes is Season 1 which is a classic show.Rita Repulsa, Finster, Squatt, Baboo, Goldar and putty patrollers were great villains of the show. All the actors portraying their characters were great acting, everyone in here was wonderful.I love the theme music for the TV show Go Go Alien Rangers by The Mighty RAW , it had a lot of action, martial arts, a lot of superheroes who were actually ordinary teens I love their power zords, their transformations, their problems. I loved Rita and her monsters who were attacking Angle Grove.I am in love with Amy Jo Johnson I love Kimberly Ann Hart so much I love her to death I am in love with her since I watched her in Power Rangers show Happy Birthday, Zack and of course Island of Illusion: Part I what a babe and heart to this TV show.My favorite episodes are Season 1: Day of the Dumpster, Green with Evil: Part IV, Power Ranger Punks, Happy Birthday, Zack, Foul Play in the Sky, Island of Illusion: Part I and II, High Five and A Bad Reflection on You I grew up watching those episodes. I don't remember of season 2 and 3 for Season 2 the only favorite episode of mine is When Is a Ranger Not a Ranger? episode 31 in which Bulk and Skull saves Power Rangers and they actually show that they do have a heart and they become likable characters of the show I love that episode. Most of fans hated Bulk and Skull thought they were annoying but later they become likable characters to the show. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gets a 10/10 it is still my favorite TV show and defines my childhood watch the dino power zords transformations. R.I.P. Thuy Trang (1973 - 2001) you're missed very much I wish there wouldn't be that car accident then Thuy would be still alive, rest in peace Yellow Ranger. R.I.P. Richard Genelle (1961 - 2008) as Ernie rest in peace you were a great owner and proprietor of the Youth Center behind the juice bar who gave the team good advices. You both are missed. hellraiser7 I'll admit I'm a Power Rangers fan, I first saw the Power Rangers when I was about 10 and I'll admit I really had a fun time and made going though the weekdays before or after school not so bad. I personally was aware and have a fascination of Super Sentai shows, I was a fan of the "Ultraman" and even the "Infra Man" movie, seeing that we were finally going to have Super Sentai shows in America was a dream come true for me.Watch it now as an adult I still have fun with it, it's a bit of a guilty pleasure now because as fun as it was it's was kinda flawed, from a plot line that doesn't really develop, some moments are really cheesy and stupid, the list goes on but in a strange way those flaws I feel are what give the show a charm. The whole show is one of those ones you pretty much simply turn your brain off and have fun and that's not a bad thing. There is just a lot I always liked about the show from the costumes which I thought were awesome and are still my favorite Power Ranger design; my favorite one is the White Ranger costume it just has some sophisticated warrior quality to it. Mainly it was those helmets I really liked as each of them were unique and had a animal charistic etched to them. They even had cool weapons each were of a different specialty and vehicles called Zords that can combine to form a giant Mecha, sort of like with the anime "Go Lion" (a.k.a. Voltron). And of course the music which is great especially the theme song which is one of my favorite theme songs ever, it is just so darn catchy.I like the characters, they weren't deep characters (Well it's a kids show and each episode was about half an hour what do you expect.)All were colorful and unique. The villains Rita Repulsa and Lord Zed, those two are great, their villains you love to dislike. Both are really live action cartoon villains over the top to a tee, each of their schemes are like Pinky and the Brain schemes as their always scheming to take over the world but failing miserably, though sometimes they just cause chaos for no reason or because their bored. I even like it when both characters interact with each other which makes it all the more funny.Bulk and Skull these two always crack me up, it almost feels at though both could have a sitcom show of their own. Both are lovable characters because their really not bad people their hearts are in the right place, their just well fools. I like that sometimes they sometimes try to cause some grief for the Rangers only to have the grief backfire on them. Though most of the time they have get rich and fame quick schemes which are always fun. One scheme I liked was seeing Bulk audition for some Martial Arts Commercial and it is just fraking hilarious as the guy doesn't know jack squat about Martial Arts he's practically just imitating what he probably saw in martial arts flicks. And of course the Rangers themselves are solid. My favorite one of course is Tommy whom in a way is sort of like the Dick Grayson of the bunch. Just as Dick Grayson has had more hero roles in the DC verse from "Robin", "Nightwing", "Batman" and now is current a secret agent, Tommy has had more hero roles in the Power Ranger's verse from being the Green Rainger, White Ranger, to even the Red Ranger in Zeo which is awesome and isn't something I'd like to see happen with hero/superheroes more often. But I really like him as a character he's just got cool charisma, fire, let alone kinda a bad ass as he not just can kick ass as a Power Rainger but also as his regular self, and the actor Jason Frank really is a martial arts and a good one at that, shame he didn't get to do action movies afterward.Second favorite is Kimberly the Pink Rainger. Yeah, I had a crush on the actress Amy Jo Johnson myself, she is just hotter than hell to me she is just one of the hottest women on the planet and a capable actress to boot. She's energetic, tough, and has a certain sweet charm to her. Both Tommy and Kimberly they were sort of the first romance couple in the franchise and they were solid, I really liked the back and forth between them it really felt like both had genuine chemistry. But of course we're all in the show for one thing the action and it delivers really well, it basically plays out like a live action shonen anime as they are never dull they go at a good fast pace and have two rounds that are different types of battles. The fights are well choreographed and the effects are on par. From see the rangers fight the Puttys or any other nameless faceless monster henchmen. Down to the Zord battles which to me were always the highlight, really liked the model designs of the zords and the costume of the Mega Zord. As well as the costume and make up designs of the monsters of the day that were always unique. Just like with the "Godzilla" and "Ultraman" battles it is always fun seeing super sized foes fight each other. If your a veteran fan then it's worth taking a nostalgia trip, or a Rockie or current fan of the franchise then this show is a good history lesson to see where it started.Power Rangers still has the power.Rating: 3 and a half stars
