    RyothChatty ridiculous rating
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Kayden This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
latinfineart I would imagine some would find this interesting. Hearing other peoples problems. I found it tiring, and pointless. A range of characters appear, and somehow I am supposed to be sympathetic to their problems? Why? How? Naomi Watts is always outstanding. She is the highlight here. But, other than a study of the life of a shrink, or the interminable tangle others weave for themselves, not much to engage.
bestvisions Let me start off by saying that I've always found Naomi Watts to be a gifted and interesting actress. Not often enough has she been given a role that showcases her range and depth. Gypsy does that for her, and she soars in her performance. In her portrayal I alternately liked and disliked the character's actions. It is thought-provoking and makes you wonder and question appearances vs reality. I had high hopes that this series could be Naomi's "Big Little Lies". Sadly, it was not meant to be. The pacing is far too slow, the dialogue is much too talky and trivial at times, and honestly there are too many characters and sub-plots. The cast has a nearly 90/10 female to male ratio, and as such doesn't represent the real world. Yes, Brenda Vaccaro and Blythe Danner add their talents as experienced actresses. But the endless parade of neurotic minor characters starts to wear you down.Billy Crudup is excellent as usual and Karl Glusman is a gifted actor as well. But even then, their characters could have been more fully developed.Far too much of this series dwells on Sidney's character, and the elaboration of this relationship could have been significantly edited. And honestly, if I saw Sophie Cookson squint one more time, I was going to rename her character Melania. The lesbian affair was handled with the subtlety of a frying pan to the head. We get it already, and we don't need to devote so much time to a soft-core porn reenactment. Sophie Cookson is not to everyone's tastes, either in her acting abilities or in her appearance. Just as an action momentum was finally beginning to start, the series comes to it's unfinished conclusion. Netflix could have given the series a chance with a reworking of the script and a significant pairing down of the cast.
ninatorjesen Facinating and unpredictive plot. Watts is fantastick in this role. Is it really true that there wont be a second season??
marochr Excellent TV series, with quite cinematic direction. The cinematography is of a high standard and surpasses ordinary TV series. Also, while dealing with several taboo issues, they are all given in a way that is so close to us all, perhaps because it is in reality. And of course we need Season 2, we need answers for many things, can not end without actually being over, it's a matter of respect for us. I forgot to mention the great cast but specially Naomi Watts for her excellent performance and the wonderful and talented Sophie Cookson... And the soundtrack is very very good.
