2freensel I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.
FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
merelyaninnuendo Batman: The Animated SeriesOne of the most successful and loved franchise of Batman, depicts the comic version at its best by going deep into the character's perspective rather than trying to cover-up or justify its sketchy tone. The animation is not only convincingly good but also seems like a lot of thought is invested on its cinematography which for the most part of it works on a metaphorical way. It takes a smarter approach on projecting more of newer character's perspective (mostly its the villain), as it helps to create the anticipated impact. And a slam dunk by the makers by narrowing it down to only 20 minutes and get right to the point, keeping the audience engaged and rooting for more. The consistency of thought-provoking concept and nail-biting scenes that they have projected in earlier seasons has achieved what it is now. It also focuses on offering a closure within its 20 minutes of allotted time. On latter seasons, the writers seemed to be losing their touch on the tone of it as they finds themselves sweating behind the camera waiting for a miracle, which no character helps on doing so. And in the last season, it becomes crystal clear that the makers have decided to draw in their big bucks through it, to a point where they are ready to sacrifice quality over money. Drunk and influenced under its commercial aspect, there barely resides a frame that speaks art let along an episode; a disappointing decision to go for season 04. Kevin Conroy seems the apt choice to be the voice of Batman (although not so sure about Bruce Wayne!) and so does Robert Hastings for Commissioner James Gordon as it has the right amount of depth in it. It also brings in bigger cast like Mark Hamill to do the voice over of Joker, which is done with genuine passion and enthusiasm that is clearly visible on screen. Addition to that, the makers keep some of the villains under their sleeve and uses it as a trump card whenever felt necessary that helps in continuity and glue all individual cases as much as possible. Batman: The Animated Series can be goofy and flawed but is undeniably glorifying and exhilarating on terms of the world that the makers have created in here which smells nothing but home.
DCfan It took me two years to see this whole story and I really enjoyed BTAS. If you are a massive Batman fan then you have come to the right place. This show had a great story, great animation and voice acting. Okay, there were some episodes which were just bad like "I Have Got Bats In My Basement" and "Sideshow" but most episodes are good my favorites are "Heart of Steel", "His Silicon Soul" and "Blind as a Bat".
chlee-48753 When I was young, I always watched Kor Anime, but this is something different than Kor hero anime. Kor things fight a number of people combined, however, Batman fights alone with many evils. Also, Kor heroes seems to be weeker than foreign Heroes. I watched initial forms of Harley Quinn. It looks like young robber. Somehow, I expect images of animated joker:D This year, Suivide Squad will release. This is a movie Harley Quinn appears heroine. (movie is more prettier than animation. lol)I love MARVEL. also, I love DC Comics, too. I'll watch the movie. In Dark Night. There are many Batman's mechanical weapons. But Animated series shows Batman's physical weapons. It is a little bit disappointed:D However, It is meaningful that this is my first foreign hero animation
Mr-Fusion "Batman: The Animated Series" made its indelible mark on me when I was a kid and it's no secret why this show's still my favorite interpretation of the Dark Knight. You can look at an episode like 'Heart of Ice' or 'Almost Got 'im' and immediately get what this series is about: pathos, but also a playful spin on the rogues gallery (which is extensive); it spends some time on Bruce's inner torment but also has plenty to offer fans of all ages. And just look at the laundry list of character actors they got for these roles. Feels like I'm always hearing someone new even after watching this show for more than twenty years. And there's a reason why Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill still appear in modern movies and video games (as Batman and The Joker, respectively): they're ideal. The proof is right there. And this is the show that introduced Harley Quinn, a character so good DC assimilated her into comics continuity.Like any show, it's not without its clunkers ('Christmas with the Joker', anyone?), but this is a brilliant TV show, with one foot in noir aesthetics and the other in old Hollywood entertainment (you can frame and wall-mount any of those title cards). It is exemplary.10/10
