Reviews
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
boblipton This is a visually striking public service cartoon produced by the Halas & Batchelor organization about the effects of alcohol on the brain and personality. Director Philip Stapp has a short IMDb listing, most notable for script work on the animated version of ANIMAL FARM and the heavy-handed script of this animated warning against the evils of the demon rum is on a par with that feature. The Halases had to contend with inflation and the difficulties of producing cartoons and, like UPA in America, often made a virtue of stern necessity. They concentrated on minimal animation and beautiful impressionist and semi-abstract art, which works well here. As an occasional drinker, I only wish their sponsors and they had felt comfortable with a less strident script.
