Reptileenbu Did you people see the same film I saw?
Infamousta brilliant actors, brilliant editing
Tobias Burrows It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Kimberley Hurst It took me a while to get in to this film. It started of very slowly. When Alan was at the school with mini brains it looked like a fight was going to start with one of the other kids but they didn't focus on that. Instead in walks Lady Penelope (Sophia Myles-what a delight) to take Alan home. I thought that there could of been more focus at the school. I love the new improved Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (not really it's just that her very pink car can fly. I don't remember it doing that in the original. Bill Paxton and Ben Kingsley only just manage to carry the film through. I do have to say that the casting for the older Tracy Boys wasn't very good. They just didn't look right. All in all a good family film. Just enough to be 3 stars.
dovercourtnews Poorly written, badly re-designed Thunderbird machines and mediocre acting (with notable exceptions for Kingsley, Myles and Cook) combined with a senseless plot and personality-deficit characters. Thunderbirds (2004) is basically nothing more than a feature-length Spy Kids rip-off sponsored by Ben and Jerry's and Ford. Unless you have an IQ under 50 or if you're under the age of twelve, you will find nothing of interest about this movie. A missed opportunity and a wasted one at that. Gerry Anderson could have made a gem with this movie but no, the filmmakers thought they knew better. Question: How did this movie not win any Razzies?
brassduke Why a 4.0/10? Hey? What's the point on seeing you guys realise that such a sturdy teen movie mixed with wacky special effects would make up a film that you HAD TO HATE!?! I'm getting sick and tired from the back teeth of all your bad reviews, why can't you just show some respect?! Gerry Anderson brought these mighty puppets to live back in the 60's and Star Trek Executive 'Jonathan Frakes' was eager to turn it into a menacing family film with a lot of friendly and general actors (Sure Anthony Edwards is annoying, And they had Americans in London). I Think it's about time i dealt with your film dialogue and my innocence because i'm getting so fed-up of this, i'm LEAVING this site! This is my final review EVER!! (BTW, That Bingo Thing was to prove how cross i was)Oh Yes, and there is NO bad language because i promised myself ^^SEE YOU IN HELL!!!
doctardis I grew up watching the Thunderbirds. Watching the DVD versions show that they are more slowly paced than shows today. But, the Thunderbirds are cool. Even though they are just puppets. Miss Penelope was the coolest of them all. I think she was based on Sylvia Anderson. I am writing so much about the original, because there is so little to say about the movie. How they could talk something so cool and make it so bad is hard to imagine. There are wonderful actors in this. The story is worse then any of the original shows. It lacks humor, romance, action, adventure and coolness. How could this happen. All they had to do is take the best of the original stories. And why make Tin Tin a major character and do so little with Lady Penelope? I saw this movie twice with the hope that they would make another that would live up to the original.
