The Three Kings Trailers

The Three Wise Men – Balthazar, Melchior and Gaspard – are on their way to Bethlehem to pay homage to the infant Jesus when they are suddenly, an inexplicably, transported two thousand years into the future. They find themselves walking the streets of Paris, where they encounter a young woman called Macha who, they are convinced, will lead them to the newborn Messiah.

Reviews
AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Hayleigh Joseph This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
Kayden This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Ian Holder I saw this movie last night on TV: and I haven't laughed so much for a very long time. The first hour or so, when the three Magi make their way to Paris, and then explore, had me in stitches. Their "old world" speech and actions in today' world lent itself to much humour. The high level of humour dropped off at the half way point and things became a bit darker, though still funny.Yet I still greatly enjoyed the movie. Plenty to ponder, especially as Christmas becomes all the more material and commercial. The idea of a bit of magic in today's world, and something people can believe in, struck a chord with me.
dbdumonteil In the French movie "the three brothers" (1995), one of the characters says to the three members of the Inconnus: "Eh!... Hurry up the Three Kings or it will cool down!" It is to believe that this cue firmly fixed in their minds and gave them the idea to shot a movie."The Three Kings" constitutes the Inconnus' first collective opus since "the three brothers" ("le pari" (1997) and "l'extra-terrestre" (2000) were made by two of them) and because it is a comedy, they went straight to the point to make their public laugh. Indeed and very simply, the comic emanates from the dialogs. Besides, either it is a movie or a sketch, dialogs made the Inconnus' success. Here, comical effects are created by the gap between the noble and archaic dialogs pronounced by the Three Kings and people's incredulous reactions who meet them and who of course consider them as fools. As a result, this comical device is easy but rather efficient and I would add monotonous. Indeed, this is nearly the sole one used during the whole movie and it makes it a little monotonous. There aren't many gags. Furthermore, by watching this zany story, it is difficult not to think about "the visitors" (1993), the famous French film. Then, the story remains obscure on certain points, among this one: how do the Three Kings manage to travel through the time? A rational explanation would have been apposite."the Three Kings" remains a funny comedy in spite of its faults. The Inconnus' fans should find something in it.
figarok Back to the future ! The three "kings" are seeking for the new Jesus, in 2001... in Paris. This is NOT a common comedy. I mean, one will not laugh loudly all the time. It is full of wit one will enjoy only if one possesses a large vocabulary and culture. It is much more a Christmas tale (but a few people realizes that) than a brainless movie like AmPie - though it's not THE event of the year, it's a fun time very optimistic and enthiousastic.
nick2be I really enjoyed watching this movie. It's true that it didn't surprise me much, and it was exactly what I expected, but still it was so funny.... I laughed from the beginning to the end. Of course I'm very tempted to compare it to "Les 3 frères" done by the same people (Les Inconnus) and there, I've got to say that it's not as good, because the first one really surprised everybody in the way they used their humor through a movie. This one is still the same humor, still as funny, a little more special effects and fantasy that add some more enjoyment without bringing sth really essential. The fact that it's based on a biblical story makes people see references here and there and interpretations that are really amusing. Well if u liked "Les 3 Frères" go see this movie, if u haven't well u might enjoy it even more since u won't know their humor and types of joke already. Oh, yeah, and the acting was pretty good too, especially from Virginie De Clausade (as Macha) which was the most attaching character. Lots of good feelings and laughter, a perfect pick for a family Christmas movie or for anybody who wants to laugh and have a good time.
