The Protector 2 Trailers

Kham is the last in long line of guards who once watched over the King of Thailand's war elephants. Traditionally, only the perfect elephants could successfully help defend the throne, after his harrowing quest to retrieve the elephants, Kham returns to his village to live in peace. But for someone as good in martial arts as him, peace is but a wishful thought.

Reviews
Blaironit Excellent film with a gripping story!
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
SpunkySelfTwitter It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
Ortiz Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
kosmasp Let's get this straight, this is not in the same league as "The Raid" (to name a recent entry) or "Chocolate" (a bit older one and obviously not the one starring Johnny Depp). But it does what it says on the cover. It delivers on the action/stunt part. Now if that is enough for you, you might be able to oversee other flaws this movie has (especially in the story department). So while we have characters returning (Tony Jaa's being one of them, the Elephant one other one), the story is completely forgettable. It doesn't really make much sense, something conspiracy or other. But that should not be important. It may take a while, but when the action kicks in, it does so with a bang (and a "vroom" or two). There are some very high risk stunts here (some outtakes can be seen in the credits after the end of the movie). Ask yourself if that is sufficient and act/watch accordingly
Leofwine_draca I'll admit from the outset that the first WARRIOR KING is one of my favourite films of all time; a top-notch martial arts epic that you can watch over and over again. It has everything I'd ever want from a movie, so this belated sequel had plenty to live up to. Inevitably, it simply can't hold a candle to the first movie. But wait...everyone's panned this film, saying it's pretty terrible. I say otherwise. It's no WARRIOR KING, but it is better than the horrid ONG BAK sequels, at least. Sure, the power of the first film is diluted here with the needless and rubbish CGI effects, the unnecessary wirework and the greater silliness of the storyline, but at times there are flashes of the old magic. One of the biggest disappointments is Tony Jaa himself. He's noticeably aged and just doesn't cut it like in the early days of ONG BAK. I expected more from him. Still, it's nice to have Thai film regulars like Petchtai Wongkamlao and CHOCOLATE's Jeeja Yanin on board, even if their screen time is limited. Unfortunately, somebody decided that the appalling rapper-wannabe-film-star RZA (THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS) would make a good villain, and boy, were they wrong.Admittedly, WARRIOR KING 2 starts off on a poor footing; the whole look is incredibly cheesy, and that dumb chase seems to go on forever. But then things change, and after a time the plot melts away to leave the whole second half of the film one big action sequence. And this was the part I really enjoyed, laughing at the whole "all black guys are evil" theme, enjoying the unstoppable Marrese Crump, and taking delight in the fight choreography. This movie's no classic, but fans of the genre will probably enjoy it anyway.
RabbitohRager *CAN CONTAIN SPOILERS* This is a real mixed bag, but overall good movie in my opinion. After reading so many bad reviews i disagree to the spammed "the movies a waste of time". It's completely untrue. The movies story line is actually decent! Quite a few smart plot twists and even though it was "go save the lost elephant" again, i thought it still did well and kept me pretty interested. There are some damn awesome fight scenes throughout, especially against the 002 fighter and i thought the final fight was awesome! However... yes... CGI= Face palm. The CGI i must say is utterly awful full stop. The bad effects really stick out like a sore thumb and are completely unnecessary. Real cringe moments due to the clearly fake and awful CGI are really notorious in the rooftop motorbike scene, the scene where the walls are alight with flames, and the phony star wars copy with the sparks on the railway. Disappointingly, basically as soon as CGI is used in this film, it really lowers the quality. End note, definitely not too bad a movie at all, with some really good fight scenes and a solid story line, just one cannot ever disregard the dreaded CGI use. Not on par with Ongbak 1 and 2 or Tom yum goong 1, but definitely better than Ong Bak 3. If you liked tom yum goong 1 then i would definitely say its worth checking this movie out.
MK S mild spoiler below: I felt asleep watching this one. I hope you don't A: Idiotic Ideas. Do they think we are stupid or are they that stupid?1. bad guys ride 50+ motor bikes (up the stairs??) to the roof top to fight tony ja and when they get there, they don't get off the bike and cycle/circle around him for 20 minutes one by one to let tony punch them in the face? Almost no close fighting that I expect to have a lot in this long unrealistic scene. 2. the above scene continues on the street, with 100+ bikes!! with some non-firing arms like pipes and knives. after some chasing, without reason, just about 20 bikes left, one suddenly takes out a gun? Why not use it in the first place?? That's where i start to fall sleep ... B: bad fighting, bad CGI i have not watched tony's first movie, while expecting a lot with the good reputation. he wasn't that amazing in the second one. i read from other reviews that he is slower in this one, and i agree he is slow, compared to others. and you can definitely see lots of scenes that you can tell its a green screen shot in the factory added with POOR CGI. watch 'chocolate' instead if you watch a good thai fighting movie. much better storyline, plot, great fighting sceneman, why introduce a gun suddenly after 20 minutes of fighting (and not use it in the beginning)? ? it just doesn't make sense ... just some good fighting will do, skip the guns if you do a kungfu movie(unless you keep the fighting close and have them disarmed real quick).
